The 1850 census listed Margaret Alyea in Albert and Jane Alyea's household at Ho-Ho-Kus Township, Bergen County, NJ.2 The 1860 census lists John J Alyea and Margaret, with Henry (16, b. NJ, farmer) and Albert (14, b. NJ); Albert (67, b. NJ, miller) and Jane (60, b. NJ); and Abraham Lansing (22, b. NJ, farm laborer). John is 44, b. NJ, farmer; Margaret is 40, b. NJ. They are enumerated as Alya.5 The 1870 census listed Margaret Alyea in Albert J Alyea's household at Franklin Township, NJ.6 The 1880 census lists Margaret Sturr at Franklin Township, NJ, with her mother-in-law Jane Alyea (83, b. NJ) and a boarder Jacob Pulis, 41, b. NJ, carpenter); Margaret was 60, b. NJ. They are in the same house, but a separate household, as Albert J Alyea.7

Peter Stuyvesant was born in 1610 at Scherpenzeel, Gelderland, The Netherlands.3,4,5 He married Judith Bayard, daughter of Balthazar Bayard D.D. and Blandine Conde, on 13 August 1645.6 Peter Stuyvesant died in 1672.1

In the NY Dutch Reformed register, the father and mother of Benoni were recorded as 'ongetrout' (unmarried) as Petrus had died by drowning before the marriage could take place. (NOTE: It seems strange that birth and baptismal date are both 2 May; even though most sites have a birth date of 2 May 1702, that is probably in error.)5,6,7
