     Elijah Rosencrans was born on 25 June 1814.2 He (1) married Cornelia Livingston Dayton.1 Elijah Rosencrans (2) married Charlotte Caroline Dennis.1 Elijah Rosencrans died on 4 December 1888.1 He was buried in Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood, plot #225.1

     The 1880 census has the name of Elijah's wife as Amelia. But there is no mention of divorce, and Charlotte is still alive (she died in 1910). BC-Families does not have this marriage (but has wife's name as Amelia in 1880 census), and assigns Henry to Charlotte; as do all other sources, that I saw.1,3

     Harmen Hendricksen Roosekrans was from Bergen, Norway, acc. to his marriage certificate.1,2 He married Magdalena Dircks, daughter of Dirck Volckertsen and Christina Vinge.2 (Banns on 3 March 1657 at New Amsterdam. He was Herman Hendrickszen, from Bergen in Noordwegen; she Magdaleen Dircks, wid. of Cornelis Caper.)3,1,4,5,2 Harmen Hendricksen Roosekrans died before 14 September 1697 at Rochester, Ulster County, NY.1

2. Hermanus, bp. 2 May 1666 (Hoes B#70); d. bef. 21 Oct 1726, as he is not listed in his sister Sara's will.6 Harmen Hendricksen Roosekrans made a will on 25 June 1692. It was not recorded. It mentions his wife Maddelean; his eldest son Ellicksander; and his step-daughter Mary, wife of Lendart Cole.7,8 Name variation: Harmen Hendricksen.5
