Peter and Tina sold land in Rockland County, NY and bought land from Gilbert Cooper in 1832 and from Cornelius P. Mabie in 1852. These lands were sold by widow Christina and descendants in Apr 1887.¹ Peter served in the NJ Militia, Capt. Thomas Blanch Jr.'s Company, Col. John Dodd's Regiment, during the war of 1812. He was drafted at Franklin Twp. Bergen Co., NJ. at about age 18 on 1 Sep 1814 and was discharged at Hoboken, NJ on 2 Dec 1814.
Peter applied for bounty land on 10 Jan 1851, for which he was entitled due to his military service.¹ Peter witnessed a will of John C Blauvelt along with Peter C Mabie. All were from Orangetown, Rockland County, NY.¹
