     Claes Peterse was born circa 1680 at Hamburg, Germany.^1,2 He (1) married Catalyntie Juriaense, daughter of Andries Juriaense, on 5 February 1701 at New York City (DRC.)³ Claes Peterse (2) married Joanna Verveelen, daughter of Daniel Verveelen and Aletta Schaets, at Tappan, NY, (DRC.)⁴ (Banns on 19 January 1723. He was Claes Pietersz, b. at Hamburgh, liv. in Orange County, widower of Cathlyntje Jongebloet; she Annetie Verveelen, b. at Nieuw Utrecht, L.I., liv. in Orange County, widow of Johannes Schuurmans.)⁴

     Emma Elfrieda Peters was born on 7 March 1869 at Lunden, Schleswig-Holstein.¹ She married Leo Leonhardt Schmidt, son of August Ferdinand Schmidt and Maria Anna Christina Schmidt, on 1 May 1900 at Davenport, Scott County, IA.¹ Emma Elfrieda Peters died on 3 October 1948 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA.¹

     Francis X Peters was born in January 1898 at Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ.¹ He was baptized at Hoboken, NJ, (Church of Our Lady of Grace.)² He (1) married Sally circa 1926 at Albany, NY.¹ Francis X Peters (2) married Lillian circa 1940 at East Greenbrook, NY.¹ Francis X Peters died on 22 May 1984 at East Greenbrook, NY.¹ He and Lillian were buried on 26 May 1984 in Memory's Garden in Colonie.^3,1

     Francis X Peters and Sally had no children.¹

     George Michael Peters was born on 21 February 1907 at Hornell, Steuben County, NY.¹ He married Johanna Spinhoven, daughter of Johannes Spinhoven and Johanna Lagendijk, on 28 September 1931 at Manhattan, NY.^2,3 George Michael Peters died on 5 January 1959 at New York.¹ He was buried on 7 January 1959 in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, Block 81, Sec. A, Tier k, #20. Owner of grave, Mrs. Johanna Peters, Main Str., Freehold, NJ.^1,4

     He was confirmed at the Church of Our Lady of Grace, Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ.¹

     Hannah Peters was born on 3 August 1805 at Marbletown, NY.¹ She married George Van Wagenen, son of Abraham Van Wagonen and Mary Masters, on 3 June 1841.¹

     Irene Elizabeth Peters was born on 25 June 1900 at Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ.^2,3 She was baptized on 5 July 1900 at Weehawken, NJ, (St. Lawrence Church) (Sponsors: Thomas Lally and Mary Collum.)³ She (1) married Arthur Clarence Joseph McKeon, son of James McKeon and Hannah Coughlin, on 6 June 1919 at New York City (Alternate place: Paramus, NJ, #15408. They had met at Irene's sweet sixteen party on June 25, 1916.)^4,5 Irene Elizabeth Peters (2) married Benjamin Maxwell Taylor, son of Benjamine Taylor and Charlotte Maxwell, on 9 April 1935 at Weehawken, Hudson County, NJ, (Alternate date March 1935.)^4,6 Irene Elizabeth Peters died on 18 December 1989 at Cliffside Park, Bergen County, NJ.² She was buried on 20 December 1989 in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.¹

     When Irene was 15, her father died, and her mother depended on her working to support her and her two younger brothers.⁴ The 1930 census lists Arthur Mckeon and Irene at Bergenfield, Bergen County, NJ, with their children Arthur, Leroy and Raymond.⁷
     When Arthur died in 1931, Irene was left with four children and a mortgage on a house in Ridgefield Park NJ. The depression came and Irene could not keep up with raising her four children and working. She was forced to put the children into an orphanage, and she lived with her sister Catherine Peters Durham. She worked to get enough money to get the children out of the orphanage. The house she owed a mortgage on was insured by Prudential Insurance Co. Ben Taylor was an agent for Prudential Insurance Co and helped Irene get enough money together to open a candy store in Fairview, NJ, so she could be independent and not rely on a salary. Together they worked hard to make the store succeed. Ben was at the time married to a woman named Marion Shunk. They had one child named Marilyn. Ben divorced her about 1934 and in 1935 he married Irene and one by one took the children out of the orphanage, the oldest one first. The youngest one lived with Catherine Durham for a year.¹
     Benjamin adopted Irene's four children Arthur, Leroy and Raymond after they married.^4,8 Irene Elizabeth Peters was between 1935 and 1979 a Telephone Operator, Candy store, owner Liquorstore, owner/hotel Operator.¹
     Reasons to believe Arthur and Irene eloped:
Arthur was released from the army in January of 1919
In the 1920 census Irene was living with her mother and two brothers six months after her marriage and Arthur is not found in the 1920 census. I will continue to look for Arthur. He may have re-inlisted but I cannot prove it. More research is needed.⁹ Name variation: Irene Peters.¹ Married name: McKeon. Married name: Taylor.

     Jacob Peters was born on 24 August 1808.¹ He married Catharine Jane Wurtz.¹

     Jethro Peters was born on 13 June 1744 at Medfield, MA.¹ He married Rachel Fairbanks circa 8 October 1769.¹ Jethro Peters died on 16 February 1824 at Bolton, MA.¹

     The 1880 census lists John Peters and Elizabeth at New York, NY, with the first seven children were enumerated with them (ages differ from the ones here). John says his father was born in Poland and his mother in England.¹
     John Peters was born in 1830 in New York. He went to England about 1858 and married Elizabeth Seager who was born in England. I found John Peters in the 1880 Federal census in New York.

     Never found son Lawrence in the census, but Audrey Peters went to his funeral in early 1940's. Audrey said he was her great Uncle.²

     John Henry Peters was born on 26 July 1859 at St. Mary's, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.^1,2 He was baptized on 15 August 1859 at Warwickshire, England, (St. Philips.)^1,3 He married Catherine Little, daughter of Patrick Michael Little and Anna Healy, circa 1892 at New York City.¹ John Henry Peters died on 28 July 1915 at New York City.^1,4 He was buried on 29 July 1915 in Hoboken Cemetery in North Bergen.¹

     John Henry Peters was a member of the Church of England (Episcopalian.)¹ He emigrated in 1861 from New York City.¹ He was a boiler maker.¹ The 1900 census lists John Henry Peters and Catherine at Precinct 4, Ward 5 at Hoboken, NJ, with their children Albert, Catherine, Francis and John (son John has a birthdate of Jul 1889; Catherine has three living children, so John cannot be her son; they were married 8 yrs.)⁵ This John Henry Peters was born in England, mother Elizabeth Seager, father John Peters.⁶
     John Peters (1888-) was 11 (10) years old in 1900 census. He shows up only in the 1900 Census as John H. Peters (son). Probably from another marriage. John was born in 1888 in NYC. His mother and father were born in NYC. His mother's name is not known.

     Never found Lawrence in the census, but Audrey Peters went to his funeral in early 1940's. Audrey said he was her great Uncle. Added him here but more research is on its way.¹

     Lucy A Peters was born in 1815.¹ She married Aaron A Ackerson, son of Paulus Eckerson and Mary Demarest.² Lucy A Peters died on 13 April 1851 at Lafayette Twp, Sussex County, NJ.^1,3 She was buried in Vaughan Cemetery in Sparta.³

     The 1850 census lists Aaron A Ackerson and Lucy A at Lafayette Twp, Sussex County, NJ, with six children, all b. NJ: Mary C (13), James (10), Emanuel (8), Wesley C (5), Emma F (4), and Aaron J (2.)⁴ Her parents were James Peters and Mary.¹ Married name: Ackerson.

     Lydia Priscilla Peters was born on 22 December 1861 at Trumbull County, OH.¹ She married Charles Goddard Spencer, son of J. H. Spencer, in 1892. Lydia Priscilla Peters died on 11 March 1901 at Kettle Falls, WA.¹

     Maria Peters was born on 2 July 1802.¹ She married William Dubois Van Wagenen, son of Jacob Van Wagenen and Marietta DuBois, on 26 June 1824 at Kingston, NY.¹ Maria Peters died on 8 March 1877.¹

     Mary Peters was born on 3 November 1732 at Dedham, MA.¹ She married Hezekiah Allen on 7 April 1757 at Medfield.¹ Mary Peters died on 23 May 1813.¹
