MotherMary King b. 1623, d. a 1680
Samuel Scudder was born at Salem, Essex County, MA.2 He married Phebe Titus, daughter of Edmund Titus and Martha Washburn.1,2 Samuel Scudder died in January 1689 at Newtown, Long Island, NY.1,2

Family

Phebe Titus
Children
Samuel Scudder and Phebe lived at Newtown.1 On 13 Dec 1680, his father John gave Samuel his estate in Newtown, on the condition that he take care of his parents until they died.2
NOTE: There seems to be some controversy about these two Samuels. The Scudder File has the lineage Samuel (son of John and Mary King) marries Phebe Titus, Samuel (son of Samuel and Phebe Titus), unknown spouse, has four children: Samuel, Mary, Sarah, and Deborah. This is the same as "Scudder Family Tree" website. At the other hand "The Scudder Family" has the four children as children of Samuel and Phebe Titus, skipping the Samuel with the unknown spouse. As no birthdates are given, it is hard to evaluate which is more likely. No sources are provided in any of these sites.1,3,4,2
