Johannes Molenstra b. 1872
Janna Molenstra and Johannes Molenstra immigrated on 28 March 1910 to 99 Hopper Street, Paterson, Passaic County, NJ, on the Nieuw Amsterdam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 28 Mar 1910 with two children: Jan (14 b. in Ulrum) and Karel (6 mo, b. Kloosterburen). He was going to his step-brother Jacob van Dijk in Paterson, NJ. This could be the brother of his sister-in-law Anje, but I have not been able to find a connection.2 The 1920 census lists Johannes Molenstra and Janna at (9th Ward) at Chicago, Cook County, IL, with two children: John (23) and Carl (10). They were truckfarmers.3 Her parents were Gale de Boer and Kaatje Woldijk.1 Married name: Molenstra.2
