     He was an Ensign in Captain McClaughrey's company of militia; 2nd Lieutenant in Col. Lamb's Regiment at West Point. Served as Justice of the Peace, Town Clerk, and as a member of the Assembly. He lived in the old homestead.^1,5
     He was educated at Rev. John Moffat's Academy, Orange County, NY in 1780.¹ Name variation: Col. Robert Burnet.²
