     Brouwer-Calj. Fam. relates the rattlesnake story with Lena, but states it cannot be her, as she was too young in 1739, when it happened; Bergen Families (Brouwer File) has it with Maria. Brouwer-Calj. has the news report and several other conjectures.³ Name variation: Lanau Brower.⁴

     Lena Brewer was baptized in 1746 at Tarrytown, NY.¹ She married Petrus Mabie, son of Jeremias Mabie and Annatie Namburgh.^2,1

     Lena Brewer and Petrus had a daughter Eliza bp. 9 May 1772, Tarrytown (#2104. pg. 129), sp. Jacob Brouwer and his mother, Lena's surname not mentioned.^3,2 Married name: Mabie.

     Magdalena Brouwer and William had eight (unnamed children, acc. to Stagg File. However, one of them is prob. Thomas Stagg, who is a son of Jan Stagg and Neeltje Verwey. The other one is very unclear in Konight, it looks like Sylve or Sylum Steen, there are no dates or other identifying information.^2,9
