Harmen Van Hoboken and Geertie Rutgers; father Pieter Janszen, mother Marritie Willems.)^5,6 He married Lysbeth Couwenhoven, daughter of Johannes Van Couwenhoven and Sara Frans, on 19 November 1690 at New York City (DRC.)^7,4,3 (Banns on 30 October 1690.      Frank Albert Messenger was born on 5 October 1856.¹ He married Anna Louisa Shuart, daughter of Isaac G Shuart and Susan May, on 1 January 1879.^1,3 Frank Albert Messenger died on 17 December 1897.¹ He was buried in Airmont Lutheran Cemetery in Suffern.¹

     Margaret Messenger was born in February 1802.¹ She married Benjamin D Post on 11 May 1816 at West New Hempstead, NY, (Kakiat DRC.)² She died on 30 December 1866 aged 64.10.0.³ She was buried in Ramapo DRC (Island Church) Cemetery in Mahwah.³

     Peter Messenger was born on 20 April 1805.^2,3 He married Hannah Van Horn.^1,3 Peter Messenger died on 22 February 1889 aged 83.10.0.⁴ He was buried in Ramapo DRC (Island Church) Cemetery in Mahwah.⁴

     Peter Messenger and Hannah had three children:
1. Sarah Jane: b. 7 Aug 1829; d. 22 Apr 1891, bur. Island Church (p.70)
2. Rebecca: b. c. 1832; m. William H. Cook; members Island Church (p.7); child bp. there (p.21)
3. Peter P.: b. 28 Apr 1835; d. 15 Jan 1887, bur. Island Church (p.70); m. Anna Louisa Allcot).²
     They became members of the Island Church on 18 May 1842 as "Peter P. Messenger and his wife Hannah Van Horn."² The 1850 census lists Peter Messenger and Hannah at Ho-Ho-Kus Township, Bergen County, NJ, with three children, all b. NJ: Sara (21), Rebecca (18), and Peter (15, farmer). Peter is 45, farmer, b. NJ, Hannah is 50, b. NJ. They are next door to Michael Maysinger.⁵
     Michael Maysinger and Peter Messenger are living next to each other in the 1850 census; and BC-Families has Peter as prob. son of Michael. Both BC-Families and Konight have Peter as son of Peter and Sarah Peterson.^5,3,1 Name variation: Peter P Maysinger.²
