     Abraham ten Bruggenkate was from in Heerlijkheid Almelo at his marriage.2 He (1) married (NH) Maria ten Bruggenkate, daughter of Jan Harmsen ten Bruggenkate and Fenneke Harmsen ten Bruggenkate, on 22 Sep 1743 in Almelo2,1 (banns (NH) 7 Sep 1743, Almelo.)2 He (2) married (NH) Fenneke Roelofs, daughter of Gerrit Gerritsen and Margaretha Loomans, on 7 Jan 1778 in Almelo5 (banns (NH) 20 Dec 1777, Almelo.)5

Abraham ten Bruggenkate and Fenneke Roelofs with her guardian Abraham Vrielink made a will on 5 Jan 1787. Testator names his son Gerrit ten Bruggencate as heir, testatrix names the 2 children of her deceased daughter and Hendrik Velthuis. They name each other as sole heir. The survivor is obligated to distribute within 6 weeks after the death of the first, his or her clothe, linnen and woollen personal effects, gold and silver. If one of the heirs objects, he or she will only get a legal portion.7

Herman ten Bruggenkate, and his wife Venneken Spijker, Berent ten Bruggencate and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggencate, Jan Trovest and his wife Geertruijd ten Bruggencate, Isaak ten Bruggencate and his wife Fenneken ten Bruggenkate, and also Hermannus Aerssen and Isaac ten Bruggenkate as guardians over the minor children of the late Benjamin ten Bruggencate, namely Jenneken ten Bruggencate, Benjamin ten Bruggencate and Abraham ten Bruggencate, together heirs of the widow of Baerent ter Braeke conveyed to Harmen ten Bruggencate, and Abraham ten Bruggenkate with their respective wives Allette Trovest and Maria ten Bruggencate and their heirs, a house of four dwellings at the Schutten.8

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 18 Jan 1762:
Harmen ten Bruggencate Janszn, and his wife Aeltjen ter Braake and Geesken ten Bruggencate, wed. van Berent Spijker, as mother and guardian over her minor children, with her guardian Secr. Hein, conveyed to Abraham ten Bruggenkate, and his wife Maria ten Bruggenkate, their house, of which they own 2/3 part, and the buyer owns 1/3 part, that they have inherited from their parents, netween the house of Abraham ten Bruggenkate and that of Harmen ten Bruggencate.9

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 21 Jan 1765:
Harmen ten Bruggencate, and Abraham ten Bruggenkate, for himself and as representative of Isaac ten Bruggenkate, and also of Baerent Stuyt, married to Janna Troost, daughter of Jan Troost and the late Geesken ten Bruggenkate, Claas Troost, widower of Fenneken ten Bruggenkate, as guardian over his minor children, together children and heirs of the late widow of Gerrit ter Brake, ??? ten Bruggencate, conveyed to Isaak ten Bruggencate, and his wife and heirs, a house and yard at the Schuttenpad, in which their mother had been living, between the house of Gerardus Bolmeijer and that of Otto Swam.3

Landgericht, Almelo, 19 Dec 1770:
Abraham ten Bruggenkate sues Wolterus Revius, tobacco tax officer, because he had impounded a load of tobacco.10

Landgericht, Almelo, 28 Sep 1781:
Abraham ten Bruggenkate, and his wife Fenneke Roelofs conveyed to Gerrit ten Bruggencate, their son and his wife and heirs, a garden, located across from the Goote, between the garden of Gerhardus Rhee and that of the widow Coenraat Colmschot.11

Landgericht, Almelo, 28 Sep 1781:
Abraham ten Bruggenkate, and his wife Fenneke Roelofs conveyed to Baerent ten Bruggenkate Benjzn, and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggenkate and heirs, a piece of land in the Bartelsgaarden, next to the garden of Claas Troost and behind the land of the buyer.12

Landgericht, Almelo, 15 Mar 1786:
The widow of Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn sells, in a public sale, to Abraham ten Bruggenkate a piece of land, located in the Horst, which presently is leased by Harmen van Eep and Gerrit van Eep. Burgemeester Gerrit Dake and Gerrit ten Bruggencate Abz are security. It is possible that this Abraham ten Bruggencate is the buyer; but Abraham and Fenneke Roelofs sell the same piece of land again on 16 Jun 1787.13,14

Landgericht, Almelo, 13 Jun 1787:
Benjamin ten Bruggenkate, for himself, his wife, and other heirs of Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn, as well as Harms ten Bruggenkate, as representative of Janna Spijker, and Hermannus Spijkers for his brother and sister Jannes Spijcker and Geertruij Spijker, and the other heirs of Fenneke Spijkers, the late widow of H. ten Bruggenkate Benjz, conveyed to Abraham ten Bruggenkate, and his wife, children, and heirs, a piece of land in the Horst. The buyer sells this piece the same day to Samuel Reefman.14

Abraham ten Bruggenkate, and his wife Fenneke Roelofs conveyed to Samuel Reefman, and his wife, children, and heirs, a piece of land, situated in the Horst.14
