Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn was from in Heerlijkheid Almelo at his marriage.3 He married (NH) Fenneke Spijkers, daughter of Harmen Spijker and Geertruid ten Bruggencate, on 20 Sep 1744 in Almelo3,2 (banns (NH) 22 Aug 1744, Almelo.)3 He died b 3 Jun 1785, because his will is probated.6

5,4 The family sends a request to the Court of Overijssel to plead their case. It was signed by Fenneke Spijkers, Fenneken ten Bruggenkate, Geertruid ten Bruggencate, Geertien Harmsen, Bernardus Spijkers, Berent ten Bruggencate, Berendje ten Bruggencate, Harmen ten Bruggencate and Abraham ten Bruggenkate.4 He and Bernardus Spijkers were on 13 Oct 1755 guardian over the minor children of Gerrit Spijkers to administer their inheritance.2 He presented Geertruid ten Bruggencate's will for probate on 11 May 1762.2 He and Harmen ten Bruggencate Janszn were on 20 Jun 1768 guardian over for the minor children of the late Bernardus Spijkers and Geesken ten Bruggencate in a house sale.7
Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn made a will on 31 Mar 1781. Testator wishes to have a proper funeral. He rescinds all his previous wills. If he predeceases his wife Fenneke Spijkers, she will be his sole heir. He leaves his brother Benjamin ten Bruggenkate all his woollen clothes and half of the linen, and the son of his late brother Abraham ten Bruggencate, namely Barend ten Bruggencate the other half of the linen. If Benjamin ten Bruggenkate predeceases him, than hisportion will go to his nephew Barend ten Bruggencate and to his nephew Cornelis Troost , son of his brother-in-law Jan Troost, each for half. If his wife predeceases him, he names as sole heir his brother Benjamin ten Bruggenkate or his heirs for 1/4 part, the 3 children of his late brother Abraham ten Bruggencate, namely Barend ten Bruggencate, Janna ten Bruggencate and Geesje ten Bruggenkate for 1/4 part, the children of his sisters Fenneken ten Bruggenkate and Geertruijd ten Bruggencate for the other half, namelyGerrit ten Bruggencate and Gesina Margaretha ten Bruggenkate and Cornelis Troost, Janna Troost, Cornelia Troost, Fenneke Troost, Alletta Troost, Catharina Troost and Benjamina Troost, each for 1/9 part. The children of Geertruid ten Bruggencate have to give their mother the income of the inheritance as long as she lives. D. J. Lamberts present the will of Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn for probate.6 He was mentioned in the will of Fenneke Spijkers on 31 Mar 1781.9

Berent van Oonk, and his wife Maria te Vree conveyed to Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn, and his wife Fenneke Spijkers, a piece of land, behind Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn's house, between the yard of Berent Bavink and the yard of the children and heirs of the late Hendrik Warners.11
