     Benjamin ten Bruggenkate was from in Heerlijkheid Almelo at his marriage.1,4 He was baptized (NH) on 9 Nov 1735 in Almelo.2 He (1) married (NH) Joanna Boom, daughter of Jan Janssen Boom and Jenneke Jansen Bolk, on 29 Aug 1759 in Almelo1,5 (banns (NH) 2 Aug 1759, Almelo.)1,6 He (2) married Jannetje Coster on 13 Nov 1773 in Vriezenveen (She was daughter of Harmen Coster, living in Amsterdam.)7 He died on 13 Dec 1813 in Vriezenveen.8

More Information:
He was in 1795 a merchant.9 He was mentioned in the will of Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn on 31 Mar 1781.10 He presented Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn's will for probate on 3 Jun 1785.10

Abraham ten Bruggencate Benjzn, and his wife Geertruij Spijkers conveyed to Barent ten Bruggencate Isaaczn, his wife Jenneken ten Bruggenkate, and Benjamin ten Bruggenkateand his wife Joanna Boom, their third part of 4 pieces of land in the Aakamp, of which the other two-thirds belongs to the buyers.11

Benjamin ten Bruggenkate, and his wife Joanna Boom conveyed to Jannes Bruggink, and his wife Aleida ten Stokkelaar and heirs, a half hay field, named the "Vinken Made," near Reefman's land and next to Bolkes Maete, in the Bolkshoek, of which the other half belongs to the buyers.12

Benjamin ten Bruggenkate, and his wife Janna Boom conveyed to Baerent ten Bruggenkate Benjzn, and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggencate, their half of four pieces of land, called the Aakamp, between the land of Jurrien Hagedoorn and that of Jan Boom Janszoon.5

Benjamin ten Bruggenkate, and his wife Janna Boom conveyed to Baerent ten Bruggenkate Benjzn, and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggencate, their half of two pieces of land, one located next to the garden of Hendrik ten Cate Hendrikszn, and the other in front of the garden of Gerrit ter Brake, that they had owned in common with Barent ten Bruggencate Isaaczn.5

Benjamin ten Bruggenkate, his wife Janna Boom, and also Lambert Rhee and his wife Stiene Boom conveyed to Hendrik Jan Rhee, and his wife and heirs. The salescontract was dated 8 Feb 1770, their piece of meadow in the Agtersligte, between the garden of Evert Voerknegt and the meadow of Jan Poeten's children.13

Benjamin ten Bruggenkate, for himself and as father and guardian over his minor children by his late wife Joanna Boom, conveyed to Egbert Voerknecht, his wife and heirs, two pieces of land, the last two pieces in the Agter Sligte.14

Benjamin ten Bruggenkate for himself and as father and guardian over his minor children by his late wife Joanna Boom, conveyed their peice of land in the Agter Sligte, between the land of Egbert Voerknegt and that of Hendrick ter Meulen, to Anna Apolonia Dannenbergh widow of the late Burgemeester Jan Hendrik Boom and her heirs.15

Benjamin ten Bruggenkate, for himself, his wife, and other heirs of Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn, as well as Harms ten Bruggenkate, as representative of Janna Spijker, and Hermannus Spijkers for his brother and sister Jannes Spijcker and Geertruij Spijker, and the other heirs of Fenneke Spijkers, the late widow of H. ten Bruggenkate Benjz, conveyed to Abraham ten Bruggenkate, and his wife, children, and heirs, a piece of land in the Horst. The buyer sells this piece the same day to Samuel Reefman.16
