Gerrit Roelefs and Margaretha Loomans with her guardian Secr. Hein made a will in Dec 1748. They name each other as heir. Testator gives his daughter, born from a previous marriage, namely Janna Roelofs, wife of Pieter Stiphout, her legal portion, in addition to what she already has received, namely ƒ135.-. He names as sole heir his daughter Maria Roelofs, wife of Baerent ter Braeke, his daughter Venneken Roelofs. wife of Pieter Bolk, and his son Gerrit Roelofs. Testatrix also names her 3 previously mentioned children as heirs. They wish that their son Gerrit Roelofs shall take over the house, in which they are presently living, and also the store and inventory, for the sum of ƒ600.- car. guilders.6

She names as sole heirs her son Gerrit Roelofs, her daughter Fenneke Roelofs, married to Pieter Bolk, and the children of her daughter Maria Roelofs, widow of Baerent ter Brake, namely Margaretha ter Braake, Geertruid ter Braake, Gerhardina ter Braake and Berent ter Brake instead of their mother.7
Margaretha Loomans with her guardian Dr. E. Dull made a will on 27 Jan 1765. She names as sole heir Gerrit Roelofs, her daughter Fenneke Roelofs, married to Pieter Bolk, and for special reasons her daughter Maria Roelofs, widow of Barent ter Brake, only in her legal portion, and further the children of her daughter Maria Roelofs, widow of Barent ter Brake, amely Harmen ter Braake, Margaretha ter Braake, Geertruid ter Braake and Gerhardina ter Braake. The special reason was that the mother had loaned ƒ700.- to her daughter Maria Roelofs and her husband on 22 Oct 1757, from a sale of the estate of this couple held on 17 Dec 1757. She gives her clothes, gold and silver to her daughter Fenneke Roelofs and to the children of Barent ter Brake and Maria Roelofs.2
