Cornelius Siersma immigrated on 22 May 1906 on the Nieuw Amsterdam, arriving in New York on 22 May 1906.⁵ The 1910 census lists Cornelius Siersma and Foktje at Ackerman Ave at Glen Rock Borough, Bergen County, NJ, with four children: Katherine (12), Henrietta (8), Martha (6), and William (3.)³ Cornelius Siersma was in 1910 a bottle dealer, and in 1920 a laborer for an excavating company.^3,2 The 1920 census lists Cornelius Siersma and Foktje at Hamilton Ave (#98) at Glen Rock Borough, Bergen County, NJ, with three children: Catherine (21), Henrietta (18), and William (12.)² Cornelius Siersma and Foktje lived in 1939 at 572 Broad Street at Glen Rock, Bergen County, NJ.¹ His parents were Willem Siersema and Trijntje Wiersema.⁴ Name variation: Kornelis Siersema.⁴
