     Rosina Antony was born in June 1769.¹ She married Andrew Moore.¹

     Jacob W Apgar married Elizabeth Schuyler, daughter of Andrew Schuyler and Elizabeth Philhower.¹

     Elizabeth Apol was born in 1855 at The Netherlands.¹ She married Henry Apol in 1877.^1,2 Elizabeth Apol died on 7 January 1937 at 162 Lincoln Ave, Ridgewood, Bergen County, NJ.¹ She was buried in The Evergreen Cemetery.¹

     Elizabeth Apol immigrated in 1892.³ The 1900 census lists Henry Apol and Elizabeth at 85 East 108th Street at Manhattan, New York County, NY, with five children: Annie (Jun 1878), Bertha (Aug 1879), Rose (Aug 1882), Arthur (Jan 1885) all born in Belgium, and Lizzie (Jan 1893) born in NY.² The 1910 census lists Elizabeth Apol at 326 60th Street (30th Ward) at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY, with her daughter Elisabeth (17, b. NY), son-in-law Ernst Kulinyi (31, b. Hungary) and his wife Rose Kulinyi (27, b. Belgium). They have been married 5 years.⁴

     Henry Apol was born in August 1848 at The Netherlands.² He married Elizabeth Apol in 1877.^1,3 Henry Apol died between 1900 and 1910.^3,4

     Henry Apol immigrated in 1888.² The 1900 census lists Henry Apol and Elizabeth at 85 East 108th Street at Manhattan, New York County, NY, with five children: Annie (Jun 1878), Bertha (Aug 1879), Rose (Aug 1882), Arthur (Jan 1885) all born in Belgium, and Lizzie (Jan 1893) born in NY.³ Henry Apol was a fresco painter.²

     Adriaen Appel married Maria Ten Eyck, daughter of Hendrick Ten Eyck and Petronella DeWitt, on 26 July 1707 at New York City (DRC.)^2,1 (with license; Arie Affel and Maria Denemarke; reg. On 22 July 1707.)² Adriaen Appel died before 1711.

     Adriaen Appel and Maria had a daughter Helena (bp. 10 Oct 1707; parents Adriaan Appel and Maria ten Yk; sp. Willem Appel and wife Helena).³

     Adrian Appel (1) married Maria Reymerding. Adrian Appel (2) married Folkje Pietersz on 28 June 1685 at Albany (DRC) (He was Adriaan Appel, wid. of Maria Reyverding; she Folkje Pietersz, wid. of Pieter Meese Vroman, both living here.)²

     Adriaen Jansz from Leyden alias Appel appears in records as early as 1649. On 19 Feb 1655 he bought a house, brewhouse, pigpen and fence from Thomas Coningh; he was a tavernkeeper in 1656; and was charged rent from May 1655 to May 1757 (van Laer, p.39)
     On 1 May 1758 Franz Jacobsz Koningh was charged one year rent for a garden, which he took over from Adriaen Jansz Appel(van Laer, p.46) A Frans Jacobsz testified in 1649, being 17 years of age (van Laer, p.39). This may be the same as Fransous Jacobsen de Bruyn referred to in 1656, or Frans Jacobsz Coningh, who was in the colony in 1657.
     An Adrien Jansz, schoolmaster, was granted rent payment Nov 1651; he had arrived c. 1650. This may be Adriaen Jansz Croon, who on 20 Aug 1660 was about to sail for Holland (van Laer, p.43)
     A Jan Louwerensz Appel appears in the colony records 12 Oct 1648 (van Laer, p.43) and also in O'Callaghan)

     On 23 Jul 1758 Adriaen Jansen from Leyden alias Appel, was accused of selling brandy to Indians (O'Callaghan, p.319.)^3,4,5 Name variation: Adriaen Jansz.

     Catherine Appel married Jan Andriesz Douw.²

     Willem Appel and his sister Catherina Appel are sponsors at the baptism of Eduard, son of Mathys Van Velse and Catharina Eduards bp. 6 Apr 1701.³ Married name: Douw.

     Helena Appel was baptized on 6 August 1699 at New York City (DRC) (sp. Pouwelis Turk jr. and Maria Bastiaanse, wife of Jan Willem Romen; father Willem Appel, mother Magdalena Simons.)^1,2 She married Samuel Berrie.

     Helena Appel had at least one son Jacobus, bp. 15 Jun 1721 NYDC (parents Samuel Berrie and Helena Appell; sp. Willem Appel and wife Reymerig Jans.² Married name: Berry.

     Maria Magdalena Appel was baptized on 5 July 1693 at New York City (DRC) (sp. Pieter Romen, Catharina Cortlant, and Catharina Appels; father Willem Appel, mother Magdalena Simons.)^1,2

     Simon Appel was baptized on 26 May 1695 at New York City (DRC) (sp. Jan Douw and Hester Van Gelder; father Willem Appel, mother Magdalena Simons.)^1,2

     Willem Appel married Magdalena Simons.^1,3
