     Jaquemina Christie was baptized on 3 January 1706 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC) (sponsors: Pieter Demarest and Maria Slot.)^1,2 She married David Andries Van Orden, son of Andries Van Orden and Rachel Demarest, on 16 November 1727 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC.)^3,4

     Jaquemina Christie and David had a son Andreas (bp. 29 Aug 1731, in Schraalenburgh; sp. Andries Van Orden and Antje Laroe).⁵ Married name: Van Orden.

     Jemima Christie was born in 1797.¹ She married John J Demarest, son of Jacobus Demarest and Elisabeth Ely, in 1817.¹ Jemima Christie died in 1824.¹

     James Turse seems to have had John J Demarest and Jemima Christie as the parents of Abraham J Demarest, Nicholas Banta Demarest, Priscilla Demarest, Jemima Demarest and Christina B Demarest; Bergen Families Demarest H-Z File has them as children of Jacobus J Demarest and Mehitable Bogert, which seems to make more sense. It is possible that this was an error in the data entry, as Priscilla marries a Tuers, and is thus directly of interest to James Turse.² Married name: Demarest.

Romaine, 3 nieces and 1 nephew: Anna, wife of Edward Stagg, and Minnie Christie (20), children of deceased brother David, and Annie Williamson (16) and Henry C.      John Christie was born on 11 June 1838.^1,2 He married Christina Christie (1842-1890.)² He died on 11 October 1889.^1,2 He was buried in NY Cemetery (Maple Grove) in Hackensack, Plot 174-A.^1,2

     John Christie was a veteran of the Civil War serving in Company A, 22 Reg., NJ Volunteers.¹

     John Christie was born in April 1840 at Denmark.^2,1 He married Catherine.² He died in 1904.^2,1 He was buried in NY Cemetery (Maple Grove) in Hackensack, Plot 201-A.¹

     He was a veteran of the Civil War serving in Company G, 2nd Conn. Volunteer Artillery. He enlisted on 4 Jun 1861 and was discharged on 17 May 1865.^1,3
     John's wife Catherine (1835-1921), children Sophia (1868-1871), John L. (1861-1916), Thomas F. (1861-1901), and Erasmus Christie (no dates) are listed on the same headstone.
     In the 1880 census they are listed in Hackensack, NJ. John is 41, captain of a schooner; Catherine is 35, b. Ireland; they have four children: John (18, b. NJ, boatman), Rebecca (16, b. CT, at home), Thomas (14, b. NJ, boatman), and Kate (7, b. NJ, at school). Two brothers, Fred K (30, b. Denmark, boatman) and Rathbone (35, b. Denmark, works in brickyard) are living with them.
     In the 1870 census they are listed in New Barbadoes Township. John (30, b. Denmark) is listed as the head-of-household; Catharine (35, b. Ireland); Erasmus (28, b. Denmark); Frederic (20, b. Denmark); John L. (9, b. NJ); Rebecca (7, b. NJ); Thomas F. (5, b. NJ); and Sophia (3, b. NJ.)^2,4,5

     John Christie was born in 1812.¹ He married Henrietta Moore. John Christie died in 1864.¹

     John J(ames) Christie was born in 1877.¹ He (1) married Mary Caroline Spring on 5 October 1899 at Dover, Morris County, NJ.¹ John J(ames) Christie (2) married Mary E Wright.² John J(ames) Christie died on 6 December 1938.¹

     John Walter Christie was born on 6 May 1865 at River Edge, NJ.^2,3 He married Jeanette D. Pennington.⁴ He died on 11 January 1944 at Falls Church, VA.^4,1 He was buried in NY Cemetery (Maple Grove) in Hackensack, Plot 273.¹

     John Walter Christie was a pioneer in the development of modern military equipment (Christie suspension stage) used in Russian tanks during World War II. He was also a race car driver.^1,5,4

     Magdalena Christie was born on 21 January 1730.² She was baptized on 6 December 1730 at Tappan (DRC) (sponsors: David Van Orten and Jacomyn his wife.)² She married Johannes Westervelt, son of Johannes Westervelt and Efie De Groot, in 1751.^3,4

     BC-Families Goetchius File has Magdalena, daughter of William Christie and Cathlyntje Demarest (b. 1747) married 1773 to John Hendrik Goetchius as his third wife. He died a year later. Konight and BC-Families Christie File have her married (1) to Hans Westervelt, and (2) Johannes van Dalsen (no dates). A Johannes Westervelt is married to Magdalena Christie, daughter of James Christie and Magdalena Demarest (b. 1730, no marriage date). BC-Families Van Dalsen File has Johannes van Dalsen married to Magdalena (b. 1747), widow of J.H. Goetschius, as his second wife in 1784.
     It seems likely that this last scenario is correct: Magdalena (b. 1747) m. (1) John Hendrick Goetschius, and (2) Johannes Van Dalsen; and Magdalena (b. 1730) m. Johannes or Hans Westervelt.^5,6,7,8,9 Married name: Westervelt.

     Magdalena Christie was born on 18 November 1747.^1,2 She was baptized on 3 December 1747 at Schraalenburgh (DRC.)^1,2 She (1) married John Hendrick Goetchius, son of Moritz Goetschi and Esther Werdtlin, on 9 December 1773 (by license.)^1,3 Magdalena Christie (2) married Johannes Van Dalsen, son of Willem Van Dalsen and Johanna Buytenhoff, in 1784 (by license.)^3,4

     BC-Families Goetchius File has Magdalena, daughter of William Christie and Cathlyntje Demarest (b. 1747) married 1773 to John Hendrik Goetchius as his third wife. He died a year later.      Maria Christie was born on 24 January 1750.¹ She was baptized on 28 January 1750 at Schraalenburgh (DRC.)¹

     Konight has no marriage for Maria; BC-Families Christie File has Maria possibly married to Peter Bogert; BC-Families Bogert H-Z File has Petrus Peters Bogart, son of Peter Bogert and Rachel Van Horn married both to Maria Ackerman (children b. 1767-1784; 2nd marr. to Sarah Tuers); and to Maria Christie (children b. 1770-1788). From the sponsors at the children's baptisms it seems to me the Peter Bogert who married Maria Christie could be the son of Jan Roelofs Bogert and Margritie Demarest.^2,3,4,5

     Maritie Christie was baptized on 21 September 1712 at Hackensack, NJ, (DRC.)¹ She married Philip Marein (Marien) on 23 September 1737 at Schraalenburgh (DRC.)²

     BC-Families Christie File has a possible second marriage for Maritie Christie; but that is Maria Chrystyn, with different parents.^3,4 Married name: Marein.

     Mary Christie was born on 18 April 1797.¹ She was baptized on 24 April 1797 at Schraalenburgh, NJ, (DRC.)¹ She married Nicholas A Voorhees, son of Albert N Van Voorhees and Margreta Demarest, on 27 December 1817 at South Schraalenburgh, NJ, (DRC.)¹ Mary Christie died on 25 October 1843 aged 46.6.7.¹ She was buried in DRC Cemetery in South Schraalenburgh.¹

     Mary C Christie was born on 6 October 1827 at New York.² She married Nicholas Romaine on 16 June 1853 at Leonia, NJ.^2,1 She died on 30 May 1891 at San Francisco, CA.^1,2
