John Watson. 1 male 30-40 (John), 1 female 20-30 (possibly Eliza) and 1 male and 2 females under 5 (possibly James, Martha and Sarah). NOTE: The age composition of this family would match the expected age composition of our John's family, but they are at the opposite end of the state of New York, as Martha was baptized in Fordham. Still, this seems to be the only John Watson in the 1840 census, which matches our John.

Isaac Bedient. Household consists of 1 male and 1 female 60-70 ([P1G and maybe his 2nd wife). A Walter Bedient (40-50) is on the same page. The next page has an Isaac Bedient (1 male and 1 female 70-80. M704, Roll 328, pg 203.

Mordecai Bedient. Household consists of 1 male 70-80 (prob. Mordecai, 1 male and 1 female 30-40, 1 male 20-30, 1 male and 1 female 5-10, and 2 males under 5. 1 person is engaged in agriculture. A 76 yr old Mordecai Bedient is listed as a pensioner on the next page, but on the line of the household of Sarah Smith. A Salmon Bedient (50-60) is on the same page. M704, Roll 328, pg 200.
