     Enos Whitney was born on 10 Aug 1761 in Branford, Connecticut.3,4,5 Enos was baptized on 16 Oct 1763 at Branford, Connecticut.4 He (1) married Eunice Avery, daughter of Abner Avery, in 1787 at Wallingford, Connecticut.4 He (2) married Mary Hiscock in 1843 at Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, (She was a widow.)4 He died on 8 Oct 1846 in Gibson Township, Pennsylvania,4, and was buried on 11 Oct 1846 in the Union Hill Road Cemetery at Gibson Township.4,6,7

Other information:
He and Eunice Avery moved in 1817 to Gibson Township from Wallingford, with their children Laura, Thaddeus, Eunice Hall, Billious and Anna.4
He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He served under Captain James Peck and Lieutenant Ambrous Baldwin at Wallington, Connecticut.
They marched to Branford and served for about four months guarding the coast. From there they marched to Montauk in the State of New York, where he stayed until his term expired. He was discharged in December 1777, and again drafted for three months, of which he served two, when he was discharged by Lieutenant Staples. After he went home, he was called out a number of times by alarms.3

Thaddeus, Billious, Laura and Eunice), 1 male 10-15, 1 male under 10, 1 female 10-15 (prob. Anna), and 1 female under 10. His wife Eunice does not seem to be enumerated.8
1820 Fed. census (7 Aug): Household of Enos Whitney, Gibson Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Household includes 1 male (prob. Enos) and 1 female 45+ (prob. his wife Eunice), 1 male 10-16, and 2 female 16-25 (prob. his daughters Eunice and Anna.)9
1830 Fed. census (1 Jun): Household of Enos Whitney, Gibson Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Household includes 1 male (prob. Enos) and 1 female 60-70 (prob. his wife Eunice), 1 male 20-30, 1 male under 5, 1 female 20-30, 1 female 10-15.10
1840 Fed. census (1 Jun): Household of Enos Whitney, Gibson Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. Household includes 1 male 70-80 (prob. Enos), and 1 female 15-20. Enos is a Revolutionary War Pensioner, age 78.11
