     Acc. to Fairton Church, Susanna was his second wife. She remarried twice after his death (no names given). He had seven children (3 sons, 4 daughters) with his first wife and five (2 sons, 3 daughters) with his second. De Elmore FGS has the first wife married 3x. At the age of 16 he started law school (?harvard); attended from 1805-1808.¹ Daniel Elmer was a judge on the Supreme Court and attended the convention to adopt a state constitution. He was also president of the Cumberland Bank of Bridgeton.¹

Ebenezer was appointed Lieutenant 1 Apr 1777. He was surgeon of the 2nd NJ Regiment from 1778-1783. He was a founder of the Society of the Cincinnatus. He served in the State House of Representatives from 1789-1795. He was the speaker of the Assembly. He served 3 terms in Congress from 1801-1807. He was the collector of customs in Bridgeton from 1808 to the War of 1812. He served as the President of the Society of the Cincinnatus and was the last surviving original member.¹ Ebenezer Elmer was in 1825 a member of the Presbyterian Church.¹ Name variation: Ebenezer Elmore MD.¹

     Edward came to America on the ship 'Lion' in the company of 47 others in the church of Rev. Thomas Hooker in Sep 1632. A church was established in Cambridge (Newton), MA.
     Edward then went to Hartford, CT in 1636, moved to Northampton, MA in 1654 and returned to Hartford in 1660. He bought land in Podunk, now South Windsor.
     Another Elmore immigrant came to America in the 17th century with the Lady Ross expedition and landed in North Carolina.
