Hanse Van Norstrand made a will on 20 August 1679. It was proved 1 Apr 1690. He was Hans John(son) van Neuerstrait (Nevestrait in Holland). Names his two sons Gerritt Hansen and Peter Hansen; their younger brother John Hansen; the children by his last wife; son Volkert. Witnesses: Hendrick Abramse, Jacob Strycher, Roeloff Martins, Clerk.5
There is some confusion about the order of the sons: BC-Families has Jan (son of Jenneke), b. 1644, m. (1) to Maritje Adriaens, and (2) to Willempje Van Boerum; but also has Jan (son of Reymerigh, no dates) m. to Marietje. The will lists Gerrit (m. 1685, so b. bef. 1665), Peter (does not marry, and died in 1692), and Jan (m. 1695 (so b. bef. 1675) together; and Volckert (m. in 1681, so b. bef. 1661) separately. It is unclear in the will, whether Volkert is a son of the first or of the second marriage, he gets two cows, as a remembrance of his mother, and nothing else; the bulk of the estate goes to the sons Gerrit, Peter, and John (youngest son)
Wikitree has two different sons Jan and John, each with one marriage, see there for more information.5,2,3 Name variation: Hans Johnson.2 Name variation: Hans Jansen Van Nieuwstraat.
