Anniversary William Breen & Anna Overdyking. Telegraaf, Feb 20, 1918, pg. 8 (Translation: Willem Breen and his wife Anna Overdyking of 927 Madison Avenue on Friday remembered the day they were married 35 years ago. It was a family occasion, no invitations were sent out, but many came to congratulate them. It was a memorable evening. Their daughter Hattie, widow Mahl, a music teacher, played several selections on the piano. Music, singing and pleasant conversation followed each other.
The couple was honored with some beautiful presents from the various family members, and Mr. D. Overdyking expressing the feelings of those present, congratulated the couple and handed them the tokens of love and friendship. Prior to his retirement 17 yrs ago, he conducted the Mastenbroek and Roughgarden Landscaping Co. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at the Vermeulen Memorial Funeral Home, 131 Haledon Ave. The Rev. Joh. M. Inlanger, Jr. of the ? Methodist Church of Haledon will officiate.
