     John G Ryerson was born on 3 July 1769.¹ He was baptized on 30 July 1769 at Acquackanonck, NJ, (DRC) (sponsors: Johannes Ryerse and Lena Ryerse.)¹ He married Lea Westervelt on 21 July 1793.^2,3

     John G Ryerson had a son Jores, b. 17 Dec 1793, bp. 19 Jan 1794, DRC Totowa, sp. the father and the mother; m. (1) Hillegont Van Houten on 19 Sep 1813 in Acquackanonck (Acq #1260), (2) Mrs. Eliza Burtsell, and (3) Margaret Hanson.³ His parents were probably Cornelis Westervelt and Margaret.⁴

     Jorges Ryerson was born on 2 April 1719.^1,2 He married Sarah (Caverly) Teveau on 15 October 1744.^1,2 He died on 18 January 1777 in his 58th year.¹

     Joris Ryerson and Antje had another daughter Antje, b. 25 Sep 1764, d.y..³ Joris Ryerson made a will on 5 May 1801. It was proved 11 Jun 1814. He was George I. Ryerson, of the Goffle, Saddle River Twsp., Bergen Co., farmer. Names wife Syntje; son John G; daughter Charity (wife of Rynier Berdan); daughter Anne (wife now of Isaac Allyea); grandson George (son of John G. Ryerson). Executors: son John, and sons-in-law Rynier Berdan and Isaac Allyea. Witnesses: Jacob Ackerman, John G. Ryerson, and Thomas Wills.⁸ Name variation: George Ryerson.²

     Joris Ryerson was baptized on 19 September 1666 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Michiel Hanszen and Catalina Jeronymus; father Marten Reyertszen, mother Annetje Joris Rapelye.)^1,3,4 He (1) married Anneken Schouten, daughter of Johannes Lucasen Schouten and Saertie Jans, on 11 August 1691 at New York City (DRC.)^5,6,7 (Banns on 26 June 1691. Names children: John (eldest son), Martin, George, Luke, daughters Mary (Reading), Blandina (Hall), Elizabeth and the children of dec'd daughter Anna Wessels: George, Evert, Luke, Jannitie, Helena, Antje and Mary. Executors: sons John, George and Luke. Witnesses: Joseph Bartram, Jacob Mead, and Henry Mandefield.⁹
     Konight considers Joris too old for the marriage with Susanna, but she is a sponsor in 1747 as "the wife of Joris Reyerson," and in 1755 as "the widow of Joris Reyerson." Name variation: Joris Martensen. Name variation: George Ryerson.¹

     Joris F Ryerson was named as executor in Dirk Ryerson's will dated 6 November 1766.^5,6 Joris F Ryerson made a will. It was proved 19 Oct 1789.^7,8 Name variation: George Ryerson.¹

It was proved 17 Mar 1764. He was Luke Reyerse, of Pequanek, Bergen Co., yeoman. Names sons Luke (eldest), George; daughters Mary Brown, Ann Reyerse, Elizabeth Reyerse; and Johanna Vanderhoff, and her three sons: Samuel, Joseph and John, and daughters: Fietie, Elizabeth and Sarah. Executors: cousins Marten Frances Reyerse and Jacobus Bargo, and my son George. Witnesses: Caleb Worden, Roelef Yacobes, and Thomas Jones.^10,9
