In 1785 or 1786 Johannes Peek or Peeck left the Hackensack area (NJ) with his wife Catharina Blaauw and their infant son Johannes to live in the Netherlands. Johannes Peek (born 03.16.1754) was the 7th child of Johannes Peek and Susanna Demarest. He was the great-great grandson of Jan Peeck and Maria du Trieux, through their son Joannes or Johannes and Elizabeth van Imburgh. The Dutch descendants who still carry the name are a small bunch, all spelling their name Peeck. (The poster is the great-great-great grandson of Johannes.)4
