In the NY Dutch Reformed register, the father and mother of Benoni were recorded as 'ongetrout' (unmarried) as Petrus had died by drowning before the marriage could take place. (NOTE: It seems strange that birth and baptismal date are both 2 May; even though most sites have a birth date of 2 May 1702, that is probably in error.)11,3,12 Name variation: Benoni Petrus Stuyvesant.2 Name variation: Petrus Stuyvesant.6

In the NY Dutch Reformed register, the father and mother of Benoni were recorded as 'ongetrout' (unmarried) as Petrus had died by drowning before the marriage could take place. (NOTE: It seems strange that birth and baptismal date are both 2 May; even though most sites have a birth date of 2 May 1702, that is probably in error.)5,6,7
