     Sarah du Trieux and Isaac De Forest made a will on 4 June 1672. They mention their children: Susanah DeForrest, wife of Peter De Reimer; Johanes, Phillip, Isaac, Hendrick, Maria, and David. Their cousin Jacob Kip, and their trusty and known friend Simon Jansen Romeyn, to be tutors and overseers of the children. On 19 Dec 1692 both were deceased, and letters of Administration were granted to his eldest son Johanes De Forrest, and Henry De Forrest, his brother.^7,6

     James graduated from Union College in 1844 with a AB and from the USMA in 1848. James Chatham Duane was Brig. Gen and Chief of Engineers, USA. He was also President of the NY Board of Aqueduct Commissioners.¹ Name variation: General James C Duane.¹

     James Chatham Duane was born on 29 March 1876 at Carmel, NY.¹ He married Mary Lehnemann, daughter of John Lehnemann, at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY.¹

     Abraham DuBois was born on 26 December 1657 at Mannheim, Germany.¹ He married Margaret Deyo, daughter of Christian Deyo and Jeanne Verbeax, on 6 March 1681 at Kingston, Ulster County, NY.^1,2 Abraham DuBois died on 7 October 1731 at New Paltz, NY.¹ He was buried in Old Cemetery in New Paltz.²
