Teunis Dey made a will on 8 November 1688. He mentions wife and children, but not by name. Executors: wife and father-in-law John Le Counte. Letters of administration granted to his widow, Hannah Ryerse, who has since married George Ryerse on 18 Dec 1688, and the will confirmed on 15 June 1693.6,7
NOTE: James Turse had Dirck Dey as a son of Teunis Dey and Anneke Schouten, but Bergen Families (Dey File) has no parents for this Dirck. Teunis married Anneke in 1685 (and has a son Dirck), but Dirck died in 1814 (?) at age 91, so there is probably a generation missing. Dirck also does not have a son Teunis.
The Dey Family has the following note: This is another Derrick Dey whose relationship to the Dey family of Preakness is unknown. He came from Wesel, along the Passaic River and settled at Two Bridges, owning land in Pequannock Township, Morris County and Wayne Township, Passaic County.8,3,9,10 Name variation: Theunis Dirckesen Dey.3,11

His wife died in Springtown. No state was listed. Possibly this is Springtown, Cumberland County, NJ.1
It is possible that this is really two people. The death date seems to belong to this Sarah, who married Benjamin Deyo, but the marriage date seems very late; is Benjamin DeWitt Deyo a son of Sarah?
Benjamin Deyo and Susannah Kritsinger had at least two more children: David (b. 1788, who married Catrina Freer) and Tjerck (b. 1800, who married Sarah Freer.)2,3
