     Petrus Tappan was born on 28 January 1715/16.2 He was baptized on 29 January 1715/16.2 He married Tjaatje Wynkoop, daughter of Cornelius Everts Wynkoop and Barbara Matthys, on 2 July 1736 at Kingston, NY.2,4 (Banns on 14 June 1736. He was Petrus Tappen, jm; she Taatje Wynkoop, jd, both b. and liv. at Kingstown.)4 Petrus Tappan died on 12 January 1748.2

     Petrus Tappen was born on 30 October 1764 at Tappan, NY.1 He was baptized on 4 November 1764.1 He married Ann DeWitt, daughter of Charles DeWitt and Blandina DuBois, on 16 February 1786 at Kingston, NY.1 Petrus Tappen died on 9 April 1846 at New York City.1
