     David Jenkins was born s 1730 in Pennsylvania.1 He married (Quaker) Elizabeth Cox, daughter of Thomas Cox and Elizabeth Fincher, on 14 May 1754 at Warrington (Friends Meeting), York County, Ohio.1,2 He died on 13 Mar 1807 in Miami County, Ohio,2, and was buried in the Old Concord Cemetery at Monroe Township.2

Other information:

     On 9 May 1809 David Jenkins Jr. and Jesse Jenkins appeared in Miami County court, and produced the will of David Jenkins, deceased, late of Concord Twp, and were sworn in as executors.3 He is listed in a list of members of the Bush River, South Carolina Monthly Meeting.4

1790 Fed. census (2 Aug): Household of David Jenkins, Newberry District, South Carolina. Household consists of 3 males over 16 (David, Jesse and Amos), and 1 male <16 (Enoch), and 3 females (prob. his wife Elizabeth and daughters Mary and Elizabeth.)5
