     William was baptized on 7 Jan 1563 at Ovington, Essex, England.2 He married Margery Garrold, daughter of George Garrold alias Butcher, on 21 Jan 1583 at Ovington, Essex.3 He was buried on 4 Dec 1617 at Little Yeldham.4,2

William Parmenter made a will on 12 Oct 1613. It was proved 19 Jan 1617/18..
He gives to his wife Margery all his messuage and tenement called Tankerton, where he now lives. After his wife's death it will go to his son Robert Parmenter, who will have to pay his son John Parmenter £5 one year after his wife's death, and if said John dies before the sum is due, then to his children, equally divided. To his wife Margery for life his copyhold land called Cowell alias Gouldwells, and after she dies it has to be sold by his brother Robert Parmenter, if he is living, and the money shall be equally divided between his children George Parmenter, Ursula Parmenter, Sarah Parmenter, and Margaret Parmenter; and if his said brother has died, the land shall be equally divided among them. If his son George or his daughters Sarah or Margaret shall die before said money is paid, or the land divided, their share goes to the surviving children. His son Robert has to pay to John Parmenter and Mary Parmenter, the son and daughter of his son John Parmenter 6s. 8d. when they reach the age of twenty-one. His son George and daughters Sarah Parmenter, Margaret Parmenter, and Ursula Parmenter will also receive furniture after the death of their mother. He makes his wife Margery executor.

     He inherited the lands of Tankerton and Busheleyes by the will of his father, and the copyhold lands of Cowell alias Gouldwell from his brother George. He lived in 1611 at Tankerton in Little Yeldham. Prior to moving there he lived in Tilbury-Juxta-Clare, Essex.2
