John Parmenter was a tailor.4 John immigrated in 1639 to New England from Great Yarmouth with his wife Bridget and his children Mary and John. with them were also Elisabeth Loker, widow of Henry, and 2 of her sons, John and Henry. Elisabeth may have been the sister of Bridget.4
A John Blandford, John Parmenter Sr., John Parmenter Jr., and Widow Wright are listed among the early grantees and settlers who went to Sudbury Plantation in 1638/39.5 M2.3
John Parmenter made a will on 25 Mar 1671. It was proved on 25 July 1671. He names his wife Annis, his daughter (not mentioned by name, but from other records Mary) and son-in-law John Woods, and his grandson John Parmenter, also his cousin Bartholomew Cheevers, shoemaker of Boston, and cousin John Stibbins.1,2,3
