     Klaas Troost was born c 1723 in Heerlijkheid Almelo.1,5 He (1) married (NH) Fenneken ten Bruggencate, daughter of Gerrit ten Bruggencate and Berendje ten Bruggencate, on 7 Jun 1745 in Almelo1 (banns 13 Apr 1745, Almelo).1 He (2) married Harmina ter Horst6 (banns (NH) 9 Jun 1761, Almelo).2 He died b 17 Feb 1800.3

Other information:

Klaas Troost was in 1754 a shoemaker in 1754, but in the census of 1795 he was an innkeeper.7,8
     Harmen Janszn ten Bruggenkate and Klaas Troost were appointed in Jan 1784 as guardians over Aletta ten Bruggenkate Abrahamsd.9
Klaas Troost made a will on 17 Mar 1799.
He rescinds all his previous wills. He leaves to his son Gerrit Jan Troost the half house with the garden, in which testator is living, and half of the garden with the house in it, situated next to the garden of Gerrit Hagedoorn Lzn., if he pays ƒ1250.- into the estate. He names as sole heir Gerrit Jan Troost, the children of Johan Philip Loreij and his wife Hendrina Troost, testator's daughter, the children of his son Bernardus Troost, and the children of his late son Cornelis Troost to be divided into 4 equal portions, with the proviso that the inheritance of the children of Bernardus Troost and of Cornelis Troost will be administered by Gerrit Jan Troost and Johan Philip Loreij until the children reach their majority or get married. His son and son-in-law Gerrit Jan Troost and [R;heir2] are allowed to take the money they loaned to Bernardus Troost from the portion of Bernardus Troost's children. If the children of Bernardus Troost would die without issue, the inheritance goes to the survivors, ad the parents will never get anything. Testator wishes, if he leaves a letter, signed in his own hand, this will be considered an extra legacy. If any of the heirs, and specifically his son Bernardus Troost, whom he has disinherited for exceptional reasons, should disbute the will, than he will only get his legal portion.10
His will was probated on 17 Feb 1800 in Stadsgericht Almelo. Johan Philip Loreij and Gerrit Jan Troost were present.3

Henrica Lucas, widow of Cornelis Trovest, with her guardian Siemon Bakker, with Jan Trovest and his wife Geertruijd ten Bruggenkate, Harmen ten Bruggencate and his wife Aletta Troost and Claas Trovest and his wife Fenneken ten Bruggencate, together children and heirs of Henrica Lucas and her late husband Cornelis Trovest, convey to Herman Wanschers and his wife and heirs, their half house and lot, between the house of Jan ten Cate Gerritszn and the half house of Jannes Wanschers.11

Baerent ten Bruggencate, Klaas Troost, Jacobus Monnik and Roelof Paasschen, shoemakers in Almelo complain about the son of the master shoemaker Egbert Warnink of Borne. He had entered Almelo with a pair of new shoes, seemingly to sell them, which according to guild rules was prohibited.7

Piternella Wolters, the widow of Lambert ten Bruggencate, with Gerrit ter Braake as guardian, conveys a parcel of land in the Bartels gaarden in the Heerlijkheid to Klaas Troost and his wife Harmina ter Horst (The sales contract was signed on 9 Jan 1767).12

Jan Troost and his wife Geertruijd ten Bruggenkate take out a mortgage with Klaas Troost and his wife Harmina ter Horst, and Baerent ten Bruggencate Isaaczn and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggencate. The give as collateral their house, in which they were themselves living, with the garden behind it.13

Abraham ten Bruggenkate and his wife Geertruij Spijkers, the first as representative for Fenneke Spijkers, together with Harmen ten Bruggenkate Janszn. and Harmen ten Bruggenkate Benjzn. as guardians over the minor children of Baerent Spijker and Geesken ten Bruggencate convey to Klaas Troost, Herman Spijker and Albert Spijker a bleachers- or brewers-shed.14

Berent ten Bruggencate Benjz and his wife Jenneken ten Bruggencate convey to Klaas Troost and his wife Harmina ter Horst a piece of land in the Aakamp, situated between a piece of land owned by sellers, and a piece of Jan Boom; and also a corner land in front of the garden of Gerrit te Brake. The tax on the piece of land is one Guilder, two St and eight penn to be paid on St Martini. The price for both was five hunderd and twenty-five guilders.16

Abraham Hanterman is bondsman for Gerrit ten Bruggencate Abz and Klaas Troost as lessees of the wine impost, for a load of wine they had confiscated.17
