     Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate married Marijken Cornelis Baarschers, daughter of Cornelis Baarschers and Heile, b 29 Nov 1649.8,1,9 He died b 1682, because his wife was a widow in the fireplace register.10,1,11

A Joan ten Bruggenkatte alias Jan Pastoors is named in the Weidekamp process; is Jan Pastoors the same, or is he Jan Holtmans? The Holtman family is also called Pastoor in various documents.

Johan Jostes appearing for his wife Zweene, Jan ten Brugcatte with Marieken, Peter Baarschers and Wolter Baarschers appearing for their two brothers, Teunis and Gerrit Baarschers, declare that they are content over the payment by Johan Baarschers and Marieken, his wife.6,12

Almelo, 15 Jun 1650:
Geert ten Bruggencotte and his brothers are asked why they are suing. Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate replied, also for his brothers.1

Huisgericht, Almelo, 1656:
Jan Harmsen and his sisters Geese Hermsen, Griete Harmsen and Trijntje Harmsen sued Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate and his brothers and sister Wolter ten Bruggencate and Geert ten Bruggencate over the Weijdekamp.5,13

Stad Almelo, 24 Jun 1667:
Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate impounded the estate that Geert ten Bruggencate had inherited from the late Stijnken ten Bruggencaet.14

Wolter ten Bruggencate, and his wife Fenne Henrixen, and also Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate and his wife Marijken conveyed to Johan Kippers, and his wife Aefken, a house, located between the house of Lambert Kolmschot and that of Geert ten Bruggencate.15

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 13 Jan 1669:
Geert ten Bruggencate, and his wife Fenna Meijers conveyed to Jan ten Bruchenkotte, the part that is owed them from the house of his late parents Harmen ten Bruggencate and Stijnken, standing within the town's Wigbolt. Geert ten Bruggencate and Fenna declare that Jan ten Bruchenkotte and his wife Marijken have paid them in full.16,9

Almelo, 12 Sep 1670:
Geert ten Bruggencate and his brothers Wolter ten Bruggencate and Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate, petition to finish the case against Lambert Kolmschot.1,17

Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate impounded the house of Geert ten Bruggencate.1

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 30 Jul 1677:
Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate, and his wife Marijken Cornelis Baarschers took out a mortgage with Albert Teuse in Rectum and his wife Gese, with as collateral their house and yard, between the house of Jan Jansen ten Cate and that of Evert Frederix. This was for wood, delivered to him and his brother Geert.18,19
