  • Wolter Baarschers was likely the father of Arend Baarschers, because Arend does not have a son Peter, he does have a son Wolter. Arend's son Cornelis takes out a mortgage in 1732 with his cousin Wolter, which would make it likely that their grandfather was a Wolter. Wolter Janssen Baarschers has died before 1730 (his wife remarried), so that cannot be cousin Wolter.

Johan Jostes appearing for his wife Zweene, Jan ten Brugcatte with Marieken, Peter Baarschers and Wolter Baarschers appearing for their two brothers, Teunis and Gerrit Baarschers, declare that they are content over the payment by Johan Baarschers and Marieken, his wife.3,4

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 13 Nov 1671:
Court Lepharts, ex-burgemeester, and Wolter Baarschers, as guardians over the minor children of Master Peter Baarschers conveyed to Gosen Lepharts, two outbuildings, between the house of Court Lepharts and that of Jan Willems.5
