     Jan Jansen ten Cate married Maria Willink, daughter of Egbert Willink and Aaltje Zweering.3

Teunis Bruijns and his wife Femme, Gerrit Becker and his wife Aele, Jan Muller ten Caete and his wife Geertruijt, Wolter Dunckelman and his wife Hendrichien ten Caete, Jan Hendrix Bulck, widower, and Willem Jansen ten Caete, together heirs of Johan ten Caete conveyed to Jan Jansen ten Cate, their brother-in-law and brother, and his wife Maria Willink, their house and garden, between the house of Jan ten Bruggencaete and that of the late Jan Harms.2

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 14 Jun 1669:
Gerrit Lovelt, and his wife Aalke Wolters ten Bruggencate conveyed to Johan then Caete, a place and land between the buyer's garden, and the road that is used by Berent Cnoop and Gerrit Lovelt, and then along the stream, which is also the border.4

Jan Jansen ten Cotte, and his wife Maria Willink conveyed to Warner van Oonk, and his wife Janneke Jansen ten Cotte, a house between the house of Herman ten Bruggencate and that of Jan Jansen Kippers.3

Jan Jans Budde, al representative of Dr. Gerrit van Lantsbergen, merchant in Haarlem, appoints Johan then Caete, merchant here, to represent him, and to receive the money that is owed him.6

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 18 Feb 1681:
Jan Princen, and his wife Grietien Forck took out a mortgage with Jan Jansen ten Cate, and heirs, with as collateral their house and garden, between the house of Tonis Bruins and that of Barend Kosters. This was because they were indebted to Hendr. Floris, heir of Eva Swam, widow of ? Mulder, which debt had been taken on by Jan Jansen ten Cate.7
