Peter Baesscher was in 1659/60 a council member of Stad Almelo5 He was also a barber, and from 1650 on the board of the Holy Ghost or St. Anthony's Poorhouse.6

Johan Jostes appearing for his wife Zweene, Jan ten Brugcatte with Marieken, Peter Baarschers and Wolter Baarschers appearing for their two brothers, Teunis and Gerrit Baarschers, declare that they are content over the payment by Johan Baarschers and Marieken, his wife.7,8

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 12 Feb 1677:
Lucas Hermsen appoints Dr. Bern. Reijger to represent him in all cases, and espeically against the heirs of Peter Baarschers and his wife Esken Berents.2
