  • Was Berend Janssen Vrieling possibly the father of Janna Vrielinck? No: Janna bapt. on 9 Mar 1735, Berend has Lambertus on 15 Sep 1734, and Janna on 10 Jun 1736.
     Berend Janssen Vrieling was from in Heerlijkheid Almelo at his marriage.1,4 He (1) married Trijntien Jansen ter Haar1,4,2 (banns (NH) 26 Mar 1713, Almelo)1 They went with certificate to Borne.1 He (2) married Jenneken Lamberts ten Hove4,2 (banns (NH) 11 Jul 1728, Almelo.)4 He died b 1764, because he died before Catharina's marriage.7

More Information:

At the marriage of their grandson Wouter Agterberg in 1820, Gerrit ten Bruggencate, Thomas ten Bruggencate, Benjamin ter Braake and Stoffer Wanschers testify that the death dates of Barent and Trijntje were resp. 50 and 60 yers ago.8 He and Lambertus Vrielink were bleachers. Lambertus inherited a bleachers' shed and tools from his parents.2
Berend Janssen Vrieling and Jenneke Hof with her guardian Jan Fredrik Hein made a will in 1759.
They name each other as heir. They name as sole heir testator's 5 kinderen by his 1st wife Trijntien Jansen ter Haar, and his 4 children from his 2nd marriage with Jenneke Hof, namely Willem Vrijlink, Hendrina Vrijlink wife of Frerik Beuse, Jan Vrijlink, Maria Vrijlink wife of Hendrik Jan Huijskes, Eva Vrijlink wife of Gerrit Agterburg, Trienken Vrijlink wife of Hendrik Baerschers, Trienken Vrijlink, Lambertus Vrijlink, and Catharina Vrijlink. They wish that their son Lambertus Vrijlink shall take over the house, in which they are now living, with the bleacher's shed, the kettle, the barrels and the tools, for the sum of ƒ2200.-.2

Jan Pot and his wife Eva Gijsberts, as well as Derck Karseboom, also for his wife Eva Karseboom, and further Arent Swissen and Jan Princen, as guardians over Jan Swissen, together heirs of the late Willem Gijsberts conveyed to Berent Vrijlink, and his wife Fenneken ten Hoeve and heirs, their half house and yard with the rear house, and half of the well and the land around it, between the house of Evert Willemsen's children and that of Jannes Kosters.9

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 31 Jan 1735:
Berend Janssen Vrieling, and his wife took out a mortgage with Berent ten Cate, and his wife Aaltje Berentsen and heirs, with as collateral their half house and yard, with the land behind it, that he had bought from the late Willem Gijsberts, between the house of Jannes Kosters and that of the children of Evert Willemsen.10

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 30 Oct 1739:
Gerrit Willemsen, and his wife Janna van Ravensberg, and Jacob Bavink and Tonnis ten Cathe, as guardians over Eva Willems conveyed to Baerent Vrijlink, and his wife Jenneke ten Hove and heirs, their half house and yard, between the half house of Baerent Vrijlink and that of Egbert Kosters. This house was owned by their now deceased parents, resp. grandparents (this is prob. an error, and it should be parents-in-law.)3

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 30 Oct 1739:
Baerent Vrijlink, and his wife Jenneke ten Hove took out a mortgage with Jacob Bavink, and his wife Maria van Lochem and heirs, with as collateral their half house and yard, that they had bought from Gerrit Willemsen, Jacob Bavink and Tonnis ten Cathe, between the house in which they are living and that of Egbert Kosters.11

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 29 Nov 1749:
Baerent Vrijlink, for himself, and as representative for his son-in-law and daughter Fredericus Beuser and Hendrina Vrijlink conveyed, a house and yard of two dwellings, located at the wharf, one of which is inhabited by Jan Stokkelaar, and the other by Lucas Bakker.12
