Her contact in Holland is P. H. Zijlstra in Oosterwierum.3 The 1910 census lists Charles Stienstra and Lucy at (#182) at Pine Plains, Dutchess County, NY, with eight children : Gertrude (14), Jessie (11), Bertha (10), Catherine (9), John (6), Peter (8 mo) and Nellie (8 mo). Peter and Nellie are born in NY, the rest in Holland.5 The 1920 census lists Charles Stienstra and Louise at 62 Schley Street (2nd Ward) at Garfield, Bergen County, NJ, with six children: Jessie (21), Burdie (20), Catherine (19), John (16), Peter (10), Nellie (10). She married Raimund Kneissl in 1815, the year that Napolean was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo and was exiled to St. Helena, and the same year that Otto von Bismarck, future Chancellor of Prussia, was born.
