BC-Families has Rachel Conklin married to both Nicolaes, son of Hendrick Storms, and to Claes Storm; Konight has her m. to the son of Hendrick Storms. The Fordham list of inhabitants has Hendrik without a son Claes, and Goris with a son Claes; It seems logical that Claes Storm is the one married to Rachel, rather than squeezing in a child between 1698 and 1700.^5,6,7 Name variation: Nicholas Storm.²

Conradus Storms was born on 26 March 1750.^2,3 He was baptized at Paramus (DRC) (sponsors: Coenradus and Angenietje Vanderbeek; father Hendrik Storm, mother Cornelia.)^4,1,3,2 He (1) married Maria Eckerson, daughter of Jacob Eckerson and Susanna Server.^1,5 Conradus Storms (2) married Maria Ackerman, daughter of Nicolaes Ackerman and Annatje Bogert.⁶ Conradus Storms died on 13 October 1844 aged 94.6.17.^1,7 He was buried in Paramus Ref. Churchyard in Ridgewood.^1,7

There are quite a few problems with this family:

     Konight (Eckerson-Schoharie) assigns the 22 Dec 1818 death date to Maria Eckerson, but BC-Families (Storms, Onderdonk, and Ackerman H-Z Files) and Konight (Bogert) assign it to Maria Ackerman. They are both b. 1746, so age is the same.
     Konight (Eckerson-Schoharie) does not have the second marriage with Maria Ackerman, and has a note "Paramus DRCh Records Cem. #20 in error giving name as Mary Ackerman, acc. to H.I. Durie. Dated 25 Jun 1973"
     BC-Families Storms File assigns Hendrick to Maria Eckerson, and the other two to Maria Ackerman; and states that "Durie in the "Kakiat Patent" has Hendrick's mother as Maria Ackerman;" Konight (Eckerson-Schoharie) has Jacob Eckerse and wife as sponsors at the baptism in 1782 at Paramus (p.127), and assigns all three children to Maria Eckerson.
     Elbert Onderdonck makes a will on 8 Mar 1782, which does not get probated until 1792. If Susannah is Maria Ackerman's child, she would have to be married Feb 1782, before Elbert made his will.
     While there may or may not have been a second marriage, and if there was, then the death date belongs to Maria Ackerman; but mother of the children has to be Maria Eckerson.^8,1,9,10,11

     It is unclear to me, why every one has their birth in Leiden. At their marriage in Oss they are both listed as from Oss. BC-Families has the marriage on 13 May 1655 in Heartogenbosch, but no records in 'sHertogenbosch in the Brabant database.
     There is a notarial document in Leiden, which mentions Dirc Gorisz Storm and Jan Dircks Storm, but it is very hard to read (1661, Arch #506, Archief van notaris Kaerl Outerman, 1629-1669, inv #454, doc #301; image 605.^4,5,6 )
     In 1660 he was the town clerk of Osch? (Oss.)³ Dirck Gorisz Storm and Maria had a daughter Piternella (bp. 24 Apr 1661, DRC Oss; parents Dirck Gorisse Storm and Maria Peters; sp. Herman van der Well and
Derken, daughter of Peter Anthonissen).⁷
     Dirck came to New Netherland on De Vos (The Fox) on 2 Sep 1662 with his wife and 3 children aged 6, 4 and 1 1/2. Maria Storm was possibly b. on the journey. He came to Esopus in 1664.^2,8,9,10
     He was an innkeeper and farmer. He became a member of the Brooklyn Church on 13 May 1670, with letters from 's Hertogenbosch and Osch; and was the precantor of the Brooklyn and Flatbush Churches.
     Later he moved to Tarrytown, NY; from 1691 to 1703 he was the Secretary of Orange County.^3,11 His parents were Dirck Storm and Alida Van Cortenbosch, acc. to DeWitt. This is incorrect, as he would not have the patronymic Goris (Joris); BC-Families has his parents as Joris Storm and Jacomyntje Van Cortenbosch. Name variation: Dirck Storm.¹²

Gregorus and his brothers were among the founders of the Dutch Reformed Church in Tarrytown.⁴ They moved to Tarrytown, NY, in 1696.⁴ The 1698 census lists Goris Storm and Engeltje at Fordham, NY, with four children: Thomas, Derrick, Class, and Mary.⁵ Name variation: Gregorius Storm.⁶ Name variation: Gregory Storm.²

The Fordham list of inhabitants has Hendrik without a son Claes, and Goris with a son Claes; It seems logical that Claes Storm is the one married to Rachel, rather than squeezing in a child between 1698 and 1700.^4,5,7
