An unsourced note has her born in 1861 in Chagford, Devonshire, England, but that seems highly unlikely. The 1910 census lists John Thomas Hendra and Elizabeth Anne at St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO, with their sons William and Edward and daughter-in-law Mary E. Hendra.3 The 1920 census lists John Thomas Hendra and Elizabeth Anne at St. Joseph, MO.4 The 1930 census lists John Thomas Hendra and Elizabeth Anne at 222 West Indiana at St. Joseph, Buchanan County, MO.5 Name variation: Lizzie Jose.2 Married name: Hendra.
