     Isaac Riker was born on 17 Jun 1817 in New Jersey.1,3,2 He married Jane Paxton on 17 Mar 1838 at Little Falls.4,2,5 He died on 26 Oct 18744,6,2, and was buried in the First Reformed Church Cemetery at Fairfield at Essex County.6

Isaac Riker was a carriage maker in 1850 and from 1860 a hotelkeeper. The hotel is located in 1859 at 94 Congress Street in Paterson, New Jersey. Son Henry was a bartender.7,8,9
Isaac Riker made a will on 24 Sep 1874. It mentions his wife Jane Riker, his sons John, Henry, Samuel, Isaac and Thomas, his daughters Liddy and Emey, and several grandchildren..
1st: I wish that my funeral expenses and legal debts be paid
2nd: I bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane Riker one hundred dollars worth of my household furniture such as she may choose to take
3rd: to my son John Riker the mortgage I hold against the property he now lives, amounting to thirty three hundred and fifty dollars, and also two notes, one of six hundred and one of one hundred dollars, which I now hold aginst him. I also give to my son John Riker and his heirs the store #3 from the Tavern stand 12 feet wide running straight through to the canal.
4th: to my son Henry Riker and his heirs the property where he now lives, known as the Henry Story property, also one store #4 from the Tavern stand 12 feet wide running the same 12 feet to the canal.
5th: to my son Samuel Riker and his heirs the now known Tavern stand, beginning at the south corner joining the new store #1, then running along the public road leading to Paterson as far as the new shed stands, the south end thence running West to the Canal, including the new barn
6th: to my son Isaac Riker, Jr. and his heirs the store #5 twelve feet wide, running the same width to the canal. Also store #6 near where Marcus Stanly now keeps store, running square through to the canal.
7th. to my son Thomas Riker the store #7, known as the Bakery with #8 as adjoining, running parallel with the ... line to the canal.
8th: to my daughter Liddy Riker and her heirs the east half of the house known as the Mather House, purchased from him, and the barn connected with the house, and also a forty pioana (?).
9th: to my daughter Emey Freeman, formerly Emey Riker the west half of the house known as the Mather House, purchased from him.
10th: to my grandson Charles F. Boyd the stores #1 and 2, adjoining the Tavern Stand, No. 1 to run up to tavern stand line, and No. 2 to run 36 feet along the John Riker line to ?
11th: to my grandson Charles Riker three hundred dollars, the same to be put out at interest by my executors until he becomes of age.
12th: to my granddaughter Caty Riker, daughter of Obediah, 75 dollars to be put out at interest until she becomes of age.
13th: to my sons John, Henry, Samuel, Isaac and Thomas the lot where the the shed and barn now stands, and the lot joining Dimicks lot to be equally divided between them, the same not to be sold in less than two years from death.
14th: to my daughter Liddy four hundred dollars to be paid to her one year from my death.
15th: to my daughter Emma Freeman one hundred dollars to be paid to her one year from my death.
16th: All the money left after the above legates are paid, I give to John Riker, Henry Riker, Samuel, Isaac Riker and Thomas Riker, my sons, and Charles Boyd, my grandson, to be equally divided between them as soon as my executors can.2,10
