Asa M. Jenkins was born on 25 Jan 1866 in Winamac, Indiana.2,3 He married Molly Blue, daughter of Martin V. Blue and Nancy Ann Netherton, on 24 Dec 18871,5,6 (license (Kosciusko County Court) 24 Dec 1887.)1 He died on 1 Apr 1926 in Colonia, New Jersey.3,7

Molly was visiting Winamac from Maryland, when she met Asa.2
Asa M. Jenkins was a farmer. He had however no interest in farming, and went to work at the local paper in Winamac. He became foreman in the composing room of several newspapers, last of the New York Times.3,2 He and Molly Blue lived in 1921 in Oceanside, L.I., New York.8 There was a death announcement in the New York Times on 2 Apr 1926.3
