     Isaak was from Almelo at his marriage.1 He married (NH) Aaltjen ten Getkate on 4 Feb 1720 in Almelo1 (banns 14 Jan 1720, Almelo).1 He died on 31 Aug 1783 in Almelo3, and was buried on 5 Sep 1783 in Almelo.3

Isaak ten Bruggencate and Aaltjen ten Getkate made a will on 3 Apr 1764.
They name as sole heir their four still living children, namely Fenneke ten Bruggenkate,Maria ten Bruggencate married to Albert Stemberg, Jenneken ten Bruggencate, married to Berent ten Bruggenkate Benjzn, and Baerent ten Bruggencate. They give in advance to Fenneke ten Bruggenkate, because she stayed with them and ran de store for them, ƒ1000.-- Car. gld. Whomever of the heirs does not agree, will only get his legal portion.4

Geertruid Hendrix Hagedoorn widow of Abraham ter Braeke for herself, and as executor, mother and guardian over her minor children: Janna ter Braeke, Henrica ter Braeke, Geertruit ter Braeke and Willem ter Braeke, married to S..... Bakker, and also Baerent ter Braeke for himself and his wife Anna Maria Roelofs take out a mortgage with Isaak ten Bruggencate and his wife Aaltjen ten Getkate and their heirs. They give as collateral their house, occupied by Geertruid Hendrix Hagedoorn, situated between the house of Juffr. Hagedoorn, occupied by Jannes Vinken, and the house of Hendrijna Lucas, the widow of Cornelis Trovest.6

Hermannus ten Bruggencate and Abraham ten Bruggencate, for himself and as representative of Isaac ten Bruggenkate and of Baerent Stuyt, married to Janna Troost, daughter of Jan Troost and the late Geesken ten Bruggenkate, and Klaas Troost, widower of Fenneken ten Bruggenkate, as guardian over his minor children, together children and heirs of the late widow of Gerrit ter Brake, ? ten Bruggencate convey to Isaak ten Bruggencate and his wife and heirs, a house and land at the Schuttenpad, in which their late mother had lived, between the house of Gerhardus Bolmeijer and that of Otto Swam.7

The children and heirs of Isaak ten Bruggencate convey a corner of a garden to Abraham Hanterman.8
