     Jan Bakker was from in Almelo at his marriage.1,2 He (1) married Geertruid Hagedoorn, daughter of Baerent Hagedoorn, in Almelo1,2 (banns (NH) 2 Aug 1711, Almelo.)1 He (2) married (NH) Maria Leppink, daughter of Gerrit Leppink, on 15 Nov 1722 in Almelo (with certificate from Amsterdam)2 (banns (NH) 11 Oct 1722, Almelo, and in Amsterdam on 23 Oct. His brother Pieter Bakker is his representative; she had the consent of her father Gerrit Leppink in Borkulo.)2,3 He died bet 21 Sep 1748 - 19 Aug 1749, because he makes a will in 1748, which is probated in 1749.4

Jan Bakker and Maria Leppink with her guardian Andreas Johan Dull made a will on 21 Sep 1748. They name each other as heir. Testator names as sole heir his 2 children, namely Siemon Bakker and Venneken Bakker. He gives to his daughter Venneken Bakker ƒ300.- in advance, and to the son of his son Siemon Bakker, namely Casimir Wilhelm Bakker his pocket watch. Testatrix names as sole heir, to be divided into 2 equal portions, the children of her brother Baerent Leppink, namely Roelof Leppink (sic!), on the condition that, if this would be necessary, they give their father ƒ50.-, and the other half to the son of her late brother Gosen Leppink, namely Henricus Leppink. If he dies without issue, that portion will go to the children of Baerent Leppink. She gives the daughter of her husband, m. n. Venneken Bakker ƒ300.-, and she gives her clothes and gold to Venneken Bakker and to her 2 nieces Megteld Leppink and Janna Leppink. They give ƒ50.- to the Poorhouse. They wish that their son Siemon Bakker takes over their house, in which they are presently living, for the sum of ƒ2500.-, and the garden for ƒ300.-.4 Jan Bakker's estate was probated on 19 Aug 1749. Maria Leppink, widow of Jan Bakker, with her brother Baerent Leppink and also Siemon Bakker and Venneken Bakker present the will of Jan Bakker and his wife Maria Leppink for probate.4
Stadsgericht, Almelo, 10 Mar 1738:
Hendrik Paesschen, and his wife Elisabet Woesterik took out a mortgage with Jan Bakker, and his wife Maria Leppink of 500,- car. gld, and also by Swaantjen Benjamin Jannesdg and Antoni Wanders of 475.- car. gld, with as collateral their house en yard, where they are living. The mortgages were paid off on 13 Jul 1739.6

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 28 Jul 1739:
Hendrik ten Hoeve, and Gerrit Jan ten Hoeve conveyed to Abraham ten Cathe, and Jan Bakker with their resp. wives Stientje ten Cate and Maria Leppink and heirs, their half house and yard next to the house of Baerent Kreuwel.7

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 20 Jan 1741:
Geertruit ter Bruggen widow of Jan Vikkers, with her guardian Dr. Hein conveyed her house and yard with the reardwellings, in which Abraham Hagedoorn is now living, to Jan Bakker and his wife Maria Leppink, Gerrit Swam and his wife Judith ter Brugge and Cornelis Trovest and his wife Henrica Luixen and heirs.8

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 1 Nov 1742:
Jan Koninks, and his wife Gese van de Schoppe took out a mortgage with Jan Bakker, and his wife Maria Leppink, with as collateral their half house and yard, between the half house of the widow of Wolter Voerknegt and that of Ulrijck Jan van der Horst.9

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 6 May 1746:
Hermen Bakhuis, and his wife Janna Dieterink conveyed to Jan Bakker, and his wife Maria Leppink and heirs, their house and yard, previously owned by the widow of Jan Konink, between the house of the widow of Wolter Voerknegt and that of Ulrijck Jan van der Horst.10
