Geertruit ter Bruggen married Jan Vikkers.1 She died a 1733, because she makes a will.1

More Information:

Geertruit ter Bruggen with her guardian Secr. Hein made a will on 21 Jan 1733. She was the widow of Jan Vikkers. She names as sole heir Abraham Hagedoorn and his wife Margrieta ter Brugge, on the condition that they will care for her until her death. She gives ƒ20.- each to the Mennonite Poor, and to the Almelo Parish.1
NOTE: It is unlikely that Geertruit ter Bruggen is the mother of any of the possible children of Jan Vikkers. She does not mention any of them in her will, only her niece Margrieta ter Brugge.1
Stadsgericht, Almelo, 19 Jan 1733:
Geertruit ter Bruggen widow of Jan Vikkers, with her guardian Secr. Hein took out a mortgage with Albertus Bastiaan and his wife Anna Christina Lubelei and heirs, with as collateral her house and yard with the land behind it, in which she and Abraham Hagedoorn are living, next to the house of the widow of Jan ten Bruggencate.

Stadsgericht, Almelo,<, 7 Jul 1735>: Geertruit ter Bruggen takes out another mortgage with Albertus Bastiaan and his wife. Margreta ter Bruggen's husband is called Abraham ten Bruggencate instead of Abraham Hagedoorn.3
Stadsgericht, Almelo, 20 Jan 1741:
Geertruit ter Bruggen widow of Jan Vikkers, with her guardian Dr. Hein conveyed her house and yard with the reardwellings, in which Abraham Hagedoorn is now living, to Jan Bakker and his wife Maria Leppink, Gerrit Swam and his wife Judith ter Brugge and Cornelis Trovest and his wife Henrica Luixen and heirs.4

Jan Bakker, Gerrit Swam and Cornelis Trovest are mentioned in the deed. Jan is married to Maria Leppink, but his 1st wife was Geertruid Hagedoorn, sister of Abraham Hagedoorn (who is married to Margrieta ter Brugge, Geertruit ter Bruggen's niece, with whom she was living), Gerrit was married to Judith ter Brugge, also a niece of Geertruit ter Bruggen, but the relation with Cornelis is unclear. He could be related to Janna Travest, who married Jan ter Bruggen, in which case Jan ter Bruggen was prob. a nephew of Geertruit, and his father Lucas her brother.
