     Gerrit Jansen Backer married Aele ten Caete, daughter of Johan ten Caete.3 He died a 1680, because he borrows money.1

More Information:

He is listed in the 1683 list of poor people (as Gerrit Becker in the original, and as Gar: Backer in the copy, #27.)4
Geesje Backers, Dirck Backer and Willem Backers are siblings; but the relation with Gerrit Jansen Backer en Aele ten Caete is not proven. Gerrit and Aele are both dec'd before 1702; first child is Jan (her father), 2nd son Gerrit (his father), but that is not truly proof.

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 5 May 1668:
Hendrick Post de Olde, and his wife Greete conveyed to Gerrit Becker, and his wife Aeltien, their house, between the house of Albert Heetbrink and that of Jan Schepers.5

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 31 Aug 1680:
Gerrit Jansen Backer, and his wife Aele ten Caete took out a mortgage with Jan Muller, and his wife and heirs, with as collateral their house, in which they are living, next to the house of Albert Hietbrink. They add this to money they had borrowed on 28 May 1668 from the late widow of Gerrit Muller.3
