     Catharina Geertruij de Man was from in Vriezenveen at her marriage.2 She was baptized in 1717 in Hardenberg.3 She married Pieter van Haarst, son of Derk van Haarst, on 24 Sep 1741 in Vriezenveen2 (banns (NH) 3 Sep 1741, Almelo.)2 She died a 1769, because she is mentioned at the probate of her uncle's will.4

She was mentioned in the will of Johannes Bolk and Anna Maria Straatman on 13 Aug 1763.4

Catharina Geertruij de Man, widow of Pieter van Haerst for herself and as guardian over her still minor children, namely Sara van Haarst, Jan Hendrik van Haarst, Derk van Haarst and Pieternella Johanna van Hars, with ex-burgemeester Gerrit Jan van Haerst as her guardian, and Willem Jolink and his wife Adolphina Eleonora de Man, Jannes Elshof and his wife Aleida de Man, and Jannes Elshof and Willem Jolink also as guardians over Jan Hendrik de Man, together heirs of the late Ds de Man, minister in Vriezenveen, conveyed to Simon Bakker, and his wife Adolphina Sophia Hanevelt, their half house with the land, between the house of ex-burgemeester Jannes Bolk and that of Simon Bakker.1

Catharina Geertruij de Man, widow of Pieter van Haarst, for herself and as mother and guardian of her 4 minor children, namely Sara van Haarst, Jan Hendrik van Haarst, Derk van Haarst and Pieternella Johanna van Hars, with her guardian Gerrit Jan van Haerst conveyed to Evert Voerknegt, and heirs, her half house and yard, with the front room, and the land behind it, located between teh house of the seller and that of Thomas Stromeijer, nowadays occupied by the tailor Hendrik Pollen and Catharina the midwife.6

1748 Stad Almelo census: Household of the widow van Haerst (4th quarter). Household consists of the widow, four children under 10, a maid Geertruit, aged 25, and a boarder P. van Haerst, aged 30. Sara, Jan Hendrik, Derk and Pieternella Johanna are probably the unnamed children.5
