Johannes Bolk and Anna Maria Straatman made a will on 13 Aug 1763. Testator names his wife as sole heir. He gives to his niece Gesina Elshof ƒ1000.-. To his niece Catharina Man, widow of Pieter van Haarst, as long as she lives ƒ30.- per annum. To his niece Johanna Lodewika Schilt ƒ500.-. To the NH Parish of Almelo ƒ200.-. All these gifts will be paid after the death of the survivor. The maid, who is in their service at the death of the last, will get ƒ100.-, on condition that she mourns properly. Testator wishes that his nephew Willem Jolink, Council Member of Almelo, after the death f the survivor, can buy his house with the so-called Blauwe Huis and the land with the Oak Trees for a sum of ƒ2000.-, to be paid to his wife's heirs, on the condition that his old maid Lutgert, may stay there as long as she lives. Testatrice names her sisters Reinira Johanna Straatman and Catharina Regina Straatman, widow of ? Schilt, as sole heir. She gives to her niece Johanna Lodewika Schilt ƒ1000.- extra, because she is named for her 1st husband and herself. She gives to Frederika Charlotte van Rechteren, married to van Dedem her Bible with the gold clasps, or if she predeceases her to her daughter Johanna Philippina van Dedem, to whom she also gives all her jewels. She gives her clothes and her gold and silver to forementioned heirs. She leaves her husband, as long as he lives, all her other possessions.3 Johannes Bolk's estate was probated on 30 Aug 1769. The following people present the will of Johannes Bolk and his wife Anna Maria Straatman for probate, namely Willem Jolink husband of Florentina Adolphina Eleanora Man, Johannes Elshof husband of Aleida Man, Nicholaas Birrius, Rosenira Straatman, Catharina Regina Straatman, widow of ? Schilt, with her guardian Dr. E. Dull, and Jacobus Johannes Man. Forementioned Council Member Jolink shows a letter signed by Andries Tak, Geertruid Elizabeth Birrius, Daniel Birrius, H. E. van Hasselt, and B. C. Man, widow of ? van Haarst, who give him power of attorney to represent them at the probate of the will of Johannes Bolk and his wife Anna Maria Straatman.3
