     William Thomas Knott was born in 1886 at Harrowbarrow, Cornwall, England.^2,3 He married Edith Elizabeth Vreeland, daughter of Jacob Vreeland and Charlotte Earl, on 22 February 1917.¹ William Thomas Knott died in 1953.^1,4 He was buried in North Cemetery in Heath.⁴

     Mary Knower (1) married Nathaniel Whittemore, son of Thomas Whittemore and Hannah Chawkley, before 1668.¹ Mary Knower (2) married John Marable on 3 May 1673.¹

     The 1870 census lists Samuel Dackerman and Catherine at Harrington Township, Bergen County, NJ, with five children, the eldest two b. in Bavaria, the rest in NJ: George (8), Catharine (10), Elisabeth (3), Anna (2), and Caroline (8m). The father is 39, b. Bavaria, works in brickyard; the mother is 37, b. Bavaria. There are also three boarders, all work in the brickyard: Philip Swart (28, b. NJ), John Fenn (32, b. NJ) and Cesare Muzie (27, b. Italy.)² The 1880 census lists Samuel Dackerman and Catherine at Harrington Township, NJ, with seven children, the eldest two b. in Bavaria, the rest in NJ: Catharine (22), George (19), Elisabeth (14), Anna (11), John (9), Ida (5), and Samuel (2). The father is 49, b. Bavaria, manufacturer; the mother is 44, b. Bavaria. There are also two boarders: Albert Germain (40, b. France, farm laborer) and Batio Bonari (50, b. Italy, farm laborer.)⁴ The 1900 census lists Katie Dackerman at Harrington Township, NJ, with Henry (19, b. Apr 1881, NJ, day laborer), Samuel (23, b. Mar 1877, NJ, day laborer) and his wife Carrie (22, b. Aug 1877, Italy). They were married 4 yrs, had 3 children, two living, both b. NJ: Harry C (2, b. Jan 1898) and Nettie (3m, b. Feb 1900). Katie is 67, b. Mar 1833, Germany, wid. 10 children, 5 living, imm. 1864.³ Married name: Dackerman.⁵

     Thomas Koeck was from N. Yorke when he married.¹ He was MAYBE baptized on 14 April 1658 at New York City (DRC) (sponsors: Jacob Hay, Hendrick Tamboer, and Anna Schepmoes; father Willem Hondt, mother Sara Schepmoes.)² He married Harmtjen Dircks, daughter of Derick Janse Woertman and Marretje De Nys, on 26 September 1680 at Midwout, NY.¹ (Banns on 5 September 1680. in both NYDC and Brooklyn; he was Thomas Koeck (Coeck), jm from N. Yorke, she Harmtje Dircks, jd from N. Breuckelen, living there.)^3,1 Thomas Koeck died before 1691.

     Thomas Koeck and Harmtjen had at least two children, both bp. NYDC:

     The 1880 census lists Frederick Kohbertz at Woodbridge, NJ, with his mother Anna Kobertz (49, b. Germany), and a servant Rosa Gruber (25, b. Switzerland). He is a dealer in liquors. They are living in the same house as Julius (41) and Francis (35) Bergman, both b. Prussia, their daughter Eliza (16, b. NY), and his mother-in-law Maria Fellman (65, b. Prussia.)¹ The 1910 census listed Frederick Kohbertz in Alfred and Annie Gramlich's household at Hackensack Street at Wood-Ridge, Bergen County, NJ.²
     It is unclear, why Frederick Kohbertz is listed as cousin in the household of Alfred and Annie Gramlich. When Annie married Alfred in 1890, her surname is Metzer; but at the birth of her children, her surname is listed as Kobertz or a variant. At the death of daughter Annie in 1928, her surname is Wezler (prob. in error for Metzer). Annie's parents are Carolo Metzer and Anne Martin; did Anne Martin marry Frederick Kohbert Sr, as a 2nd wife? Frederick Jr is not with the family in 1850 or 1855, was he still in Germany?³

     Frederick Kohbertz was born at Waldbrock, Germany, (age hard to read, looks like 39 written out in German, indexed as 39.)^1,2 He married Anna Kohbertz. Frederick Kohbertz married Anna Metzer, daughter of Peter Metzer and Maria Sibilla Clother, on 21 November 1863 at New York City (Madison Street German Church) (Witnesses are Carl Metzer, living at 281 East 10th Street, and Wienand Schmidt, living at Forsyth street.)^1,3,4,5

They leave Hamburg on 25 Sep 1910 (Ancestry-Hamburg), and arrive in NY on 6 Oct 1910 (Ancestry-Arrivals.)^{7,8,9,10,11,12,13} He was a distiller.^6,2 The 1855 census lists Frederick Kohbertz and Anna at New York City (ward 16), with a boarder John Mott (26, b.      Friedrich Wilhelm Carl Kohlheim was born on 15 December 1823 prob. in Quedlinburg, Germany.¹ He married Bertha Ditzel Bier on 2 August 1851 at Berlin, Germany, (Nikolaikirche.)¹ Friedrich Wilhelm Carl Kohlheim died on 16 January 1892 at Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ.¹

     Gustave August Kohlheim was born on 22 October 1858 at New York, NY.¹ He married Mary (Marie) Steininger circa 1880.¹ Gustave August Kohlheim died on 20 September 1914 at Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ.¹

     His wife was also born in New York, and died in Hoboken.¹

     Walter Frank Kohlheim was born on 14 December 1896 at Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ.¹ He married Florence May Maxwell, daughter of George Edward Maxwell and Jennie May Reid, on 28 June 1919 at Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ.¹ Walter Frank Kohlheim died on 4 March 1969 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, OH.¹

     Jacobus Kole was born in 1882 at The Netherlands.¹ He married Elizabeth Douma. Jacobus Kole died on 8 June 1965 at Saddle Brook Hospital, Saddle Brook Township, Bergen County, NJ.¹ He was buried on 11 June 1965 in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Fair Lawn.¹

     He was listed in the 1686 NYDC member list as "Jacob Kolve" (member #205, name #262.)⁴ His parents were Jan Kolf and Sara Haselbroek. Possibly she married (2) on 16 Aug 1664 Jacob Janszen, jm from Amsterdam, she Sara Pieters, wid. of Jacob Colff.^5,6
     Anthony Colve was the last Dutch Director of New Netherlands from 19 Sep 1673 to 10 Nov 1674. He had two daughters and a son Jacob; but there probably is no relation.⁷ Name variation: Jacob Colve.⁵

     Elizabeth Kolikleash was born in 1825 at Baden Baden, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.¹ She married John Paul Schultz in 1850 at New York City.¹ Elizabeth Kolikleash died in 1898 at Cleveland, OH.¹

Oct 1828, Holland, janitor in school, imm. 1853, naturilized; Mary is 58, b. Feb 1852, NJ. They were married 16 yrs, she had 1 child, none living.² Name variation: Edward Koman.¹

     Hannah Koman was born in 1883.¹ She married Doeke van den Brink, son of Anne Jacobs van den Brink and Eelkje Hovenga, on 7 September 1901 at Paterson, Passaic County, NJ.¹

     John Edward Koman was born in January 1859.^1,2 He married Amanda A (?) in 1892.² John Edward Koman died in 1936.¹ He was buried in Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.¹

     John Lester Koman was born on 10 April 1897.¹ He married Margaret (?) in 1925.¹ John Lester Koman died in January 1976 at Westwood, Bergen County, NJ.¹
