Samuel Ball (1648-)

My database has two Samuel Ball, both supposedly born on 16 Mar 1647/8 in Springfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony. As they are both very distantly related to the Tiffany’s, my son-in-law’s line, I had not really payed much attention, but the “Born on this day” program alerted me to this fact.

Samuel (1) was the son of Francis Ball and Abigail Burt (who married (1) Francis Ball, (2) Benjamin Munn, and (3) Thomas Stebbins, widower of Hannah Wright). He supposedly married Martha,(1), who married (2) Benjamin Stebbins (son of Thomas and Hannah Wright) on either 10 Apr 1690(2) or 8 May 1701(3)

Samuel (2) was the son of Francis Ball (and supposedly Abigail Burt(5)), and married Mary Graves, daughter of John Graves and Mary Smith. She was from Wethersfield, CT, and married (2) James Warriner on 29 Dec 1703 in Springfield(4),(5)

So there we are: two Samuel Balls, both son of Francis, both born 16 Mar 1647/8 in Springfield, MA, but married to two different people, and dying at three different dates. As both the wives remarry, there has to be some error somewhere. I am not sure how to resolve these differences, and I could sure use some help!
