Preserved Pickering (1796-1866)

Preserved Pickering was born on 26 July 1796 in Mendon, MA and died 24 Mar 1866 in Gibson Township, PA. His is one of those names that always makes me chuckle. He was the husband of my son-in-law’s 4th great-grand aunt Anna Whitney, whom he married on 24 Dec 1818.⁽¹⁾

Preserved and Anna had seven children, at least one of whom died young. The eldest, William, married Mary Tiffany, my son-in-law’s 3rd great-grand aunt, in Mount Pleasant Township, PA

Preserved and Anna are buried in Union Hill Cemetery in Gibson Township, PA. You can find their gravestone pictures at Find-A-Grave.⁽²⁾
